9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, RV Malapitan! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Daniel Cesar and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Malapitan misses with a two punch combination.
A combination from Malapitan does no damage. A combination from Cat does no damage. Cat misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Malapitan.
Cat slips a jab and a cross from Malapitan.
Cat takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Cat misses with a looping right. Malapitan throws a nice looking combination but Cat bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Malapitan scores with a one two! Cat had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Malapitan throws a series of punches but Cat avoids them all with ease. Malapitan lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cat uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Malapitan.
Cat throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Cat throws a leg kick that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cat fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Malapitan manages to avoid it. Malapitan throws a jab but it's blocked by Cat. Cat dodges the punch combination from Malapitan.
Nice uppercut lands for Cat. That snapped Malapitan's head back.
Cat uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Malapitan. A swing and a miss from Malapitan. Malapitan scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Cat doesn't seem bothered though. Malapitan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Malapitan throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Malapitan throws a sloppy body shot
and Malapitan takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Cat jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Malapitan lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. RV Malapitan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cat throws a leg kick but Malapitan sees it coming and checks it nicely. Malapitan lands with a hook. Cat tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Malapitan throws a right hand that misses
and Cat counters with a big right hand! Oh Malapitan is in trouble here! Cat follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Business scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Business scoring well with a low kick there.
Monkey Business seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Business scores with a nice right hand.
Business jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Business is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Killer has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Killer there as he acknowledges the shot. Business seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Business works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. A solid body kick from Business. Killer takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. A jab from Business does it's job there.
Killer is rocked! Killer switches off momentarily and Business cracks him with a monster right hand! Killer topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Business dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Business!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Monkey Business! Jumping up and down and very excited, Monkey Business waved his t-shirt featuring MB Nutrition's logo in front of the cameras.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown attempt by Matsuo or perhaps it was just good defense by Vraganza, which made it look bad. Matsuo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Matsuo is trying to control. Vraganza wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Vraganza looking for submissions off his back. Matsuo missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vraganza tries to kick Matsuo off but Matsuo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Matsuo passes to full mount! Matsuo wants to control the pace but Vraganza is squirming around nicely. Vraganza is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Franklin D. Bluth Memorial Supergym, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Now he's in top in Vraganza's guard. Matsuo trying to control the position from guard on top but Vraganza is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Matsuo gets to his feet - Vraganza follows without any prompting. Matsuo closes the distance and lands a one-two. This has been an exciting period of action! Matsuo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Vraganza sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Matsuo somewhat. Matsuo wants to clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vraganza goes for a double leg but Matsuo avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Matsuo continues to drive forward. Matsuo gets a trip takedown into half guard. Matsuo passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Vraganza! Matsuo working Vraganza over with strikes here. You get the feeling that Vraganza really doesn't like being in this position too much.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Matsuo cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Vraganza is trying desperately to improve position. Poor strikes thrown by Matsuo there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Matsuo prevents Vraganza from standing back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jay Matsuo was stalling too much, according to the referee. Vraganza shoots for a double leg takedown but Matsuo sprawls well. He's pushed Vraganza's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Matsuo tries for a takedown but Vraganza sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Vraganza displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Matsuo. Matsuo misses with a body shot.

Matsuo lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Matsuo trying to control the position from guard on top but Vraganza is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Matsuo gets to his feet - Vraganza follows without any prompting. Matsuo looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Vraganza dives in and grabs Matsuo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Matsuo pushes down on Vraganza's head and hops out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Matsuo is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Vraganza fails with the takedown and Matsuo counters with an inside leg kick. Vraganza misses with a takedown attempt and Matsuo counters with a shoot takedown. Vraganza fights it but they end up in guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Matsuo looking to pass the guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Matsuo looking to sit in guard and control but Vraganza gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Vraganza has his hands clasped together but Matsuo extends and breaks Vraganza's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Matsuo.

The fighters circling - Targaryen throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Targaryen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Silva shoots in and drives through. Targaryen sprawls well. Targaryen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Silva manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Silva throws a good cross that connects.

Targaryen bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Targaryen moves into the clinch successfully.

Targaryen uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Silva has time to react. Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Targaryen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Targaryen walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Silva drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Targaryen swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Silva's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Reem has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Reem looks to land a body kick but Flagg moved away. Flagg forces Reem back against the cage and clinches. A short body shot lands from Flagg as the two fighters clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Reem throws a looping overhand right but Flagg ducks down to avoid it. Flagg punishes Reem's body with a nice straight punch. Flagg throws the left hand but Reem avoids the punch easily. Flagg moves out of range of the strikes. Reem throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Flagg tests Reem's chin there with a solid looking shot. Flagg wants to clinch up but Reem keeps it at a distance. Reem walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Flagg lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Both fighters circling a little - Reem finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Flagg lands a jab to the nose. Reem jabbing away but nothing is landing. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Flagg comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Flagg tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Reem was well out of range. Poor timing from Flagg. Flagg tries to close the distance and clinch but Reem swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Reem throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
