The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jordan throws a wild body kick that Apple sees coming a mile off.
Jordan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Apple moves away.
Apple wants to clinch up but Jordan keeps it at a distance.

Jordan gets a clinch.
Apple pushes Jordan back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Apple goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
A right handed body shot lands from Apple.
Jordan tries to circle away but Apple has him pinned against the cage.
Apple misses with a body punch.
Apple prevents a takedown attempt there.
Apple doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Jordan.
Jordan looking for a takedown.
With the fighters up against the cage, Jordan throws an elbow but misses.
Apple lands a nice shot to the body.
Apple really is a fat lump.

Apple works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Apple is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jordan is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Apple has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Apple trying to control the position from guard on top but Jordan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Apple knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jordan on the ground.

Apple has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Jordan to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Apple is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Jordan pulls down on the head and he's put Apple to sleep! This one is all over!

Mariusz tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Mariusz rushes Antonovich and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Antonovich takes an elbow to the temple.

It looks like Ivan Antonovich has been cut.
Mariusz lands with a right to the head.
Mariusz lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Antonovich.
Antonovich jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mariusz walks away with a smile on his face. Antonovich gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Mariusz digs a right hand into Antonovich's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Antonovich's gas tank.

Mariusz drops Antonovich onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Antonovich is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Mackaye looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Mackaye misses with a takedown attempt - Chandler sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Mackaye shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Chandler eats them both and turns towards Mackaye to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

I was talking to Alonso's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
