The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lloris was well out of range. Poor timing from Poon.
Poon shoots in looking for a takedown but Lloris manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Poon's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Poon's coach down at Pitbull MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Poon's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Lloris swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Vantrell has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
