The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Christofi throws a body punch but Velassco moves out of range. Christofi blocks a head kick by Velassco.

Velassco definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Velassco connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Christofi misses with a hook. Christofi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Barksdale tries a low kick but Victorio avoids it. Barksdale throws a looping overhand right but Victorio ducks down to avoid it. Barksdale misses with a wild body shot. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. We've been hearing good reports from Barksdale's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Victorio tries to clinch but Barksdale moves out of range. The fighters circle momentarily. Barksdale darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
And that's the end of the fight! Avon Barksdale showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Barksdale, winning every round. Will the judges agree? The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rua circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ruut checks the leg kick nicely there.
Ruut ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rua moves away. Rua throws a quick inside leg kick. Rua misses with a kick to the body.
Rua closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Ruut lands with a good body shot. Rua tries to land a leg kick but Ruut saw it coming and moves away.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ruut has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Ruut gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Rua regains guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Rua looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Ruut tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rua defends well and Ruut ends up having to push Rua into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Gabriel Rua has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gim Ruut. Rua lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Ruut jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rua walks away with a smile on his face. Ruut gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Ruut throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Ruut shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rua sprawls well. Rua wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ruut gets slowly back to his feet.

Rua throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Ruut is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Rua rather than just go for the knockout. Ruut has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Rua. Ruut keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Ruut tries to clinch but Rua moves out of range. Ruut fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rua manages to avoid it. Rua ducks under a wild hook from Ruut.

Ruut's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Horrible takedown attempt by Ruut or perhaps it was just good defense by Rua, which made it look bad. Rua displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ruut. Rua tries to score with a low kick but Ruut moves his leg out of the way. Rua keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ruut fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rua sprawls well initially but Ruut persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Ruut prevents Rua from improving his position. Rua is working hard here to advance position. Rua trying to control from the bottom.

Rua has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Ruut. Oh but Rua has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Ruut goes limp - he's gone! Rua jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Good anti-grappling being displayed by Winchester as Petkovic tries to tie him up. Winchester creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Petkovic with a big uppercut! Petkovic tries to clinch up but Winchester pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Petkovic to the mat! Petkovic covers up and Winchester unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Poor timing from Jorma. Marley bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jorma's head backwards. No joy there for Jorma, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Marley connects with an inside leg kick. Marley wants to clinch up but Jorma keeps it at a distance. Marley throws a low kick, looking for Jorma's leg but Jorma calmly moves out of range. Jorma lands an overhand right. Jab, jab by Marley - just one landing. Marley is looking to clinch. Jorma tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Marley counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Jorma working hard to break the clinch. Marley lands with a right to the head. Jorma's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Marley lands a nice shot to the body. Jorma successfully pulls guard.

Our spies down at at Real Fighter GYM inform us that Marley has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Jorma wants to control from the top but Marley keeps moving. Marley looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Jorma content to stall in guard here. Marley avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Jorma is positioning himself to get back to half guard. You can see the frustration on Jorma's face as Marley controls the position. Jorma has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Jorma is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. A bit of a lull in the action here. Marley gets to mount! Jorma was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Jorma regains half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jorma is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Marley's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Marley's back! Jorma misses with an elbow to the head. Jorma is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Marley up.
Marley has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Jorma. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Marley breaks Jorma's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Seia moves out of range of the leg kick from LaFontier. Seia connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed LaFontier momentarily.
