The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Campbell moves into range and clinches up with Belfort .
Belfort swings wildly with an uppercut but Campbell uses good head movement to avoid it.
Campbell looking to throw knees to the head but Belfort is blocking nicely.
Belfort can't find room to land a body shot as Campbell controls the action.
Belfort gets through Campbell's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Belfort avoiding damage as Campbell throws knees to the body.
Campbell tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
I was talking to Campbell's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Belfort has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Campbell uses from the top position.

Peterson 's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Blind Eye Halo. Huone has chosen RMB - Spring as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Nikolai Peterson has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Nikolai Peterson seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Zietsch remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Putin lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Zietsch has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Zietsch and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Away crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Ring - the referee stops the clock and Away gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Ring. Away manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ring looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jeremy Ring seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ring moves into the clinch.

Away manages to pull guard.
Ring wants to control from the top but Away keeps moving.
Ring must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
