The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flash takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Flash walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Masaru throws a shot from downtown. Flash moves away and avoids it. Flash moves out of range as Masaru throws a body kick.

Masaru looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Flash uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Masaru. Masaru lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Flash circles away quickly and effectively. Flash staying out of range there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Masaru tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Flash manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Masaru lands with a good body shot. Flash avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Masaru misses with a combination
and Flash counters with a takedown into side control. Masaru is looking to regain half guard here but Flash keeps moving and retains side control. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Flash works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
It looks like Shun Masaru has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Flash working the ground and pound. Flash working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Flash lands some shots froms side control. Masaru taking punishment in the form of punches.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Masaru has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Flash can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Flash lands a couple of decent looking shots.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Decent striking displayed by Kawamura there. Shaw looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Kawamura forces Shaw back against the cage and clinches. Shaw is working for takedown but Kawamura is calmly controlling the position for now. A knee to the head by Kawamura.

Kawamura lands a good knee to the midsection. Shaw won't want to take too many of those. Shaw is breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kawamura connects with a nasty looking knee right to Shaw's face.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kido tries to close the distance and clinch but Johnson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kido fails with an attempt to clinch.
Johnson fails with a takedown attempt. Johnson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kido circles away. Kido keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Osamu Kido has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of William Johnson. Johnson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kido but Kido pushes him off and we're back to square one. Johnson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takayanagi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Haraldsson manages to avoid it. A solid body kick from Haraldsson. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Takayanagi has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Haraldsson throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Haraldsson connects with a solid leg kick. Haraldsson thuds his shin into the meat of Takayanagi's side. Takayanagi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Haraldsson's waist but Haraldsson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Takayanagi off to one side. Takayanagi shoots in but Haraldsson avoids the takedown attempt easily. A nice inside leg kick there by Haraldsson. That's going to slow Takayanagi down. Haraldsson takes a swing at Takayanagi's ribcage but misses. Haraldsson lands a jab to Takayanagi's midsection. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Haraldsson lands a nice shot that snaps Takayanagi's head back.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vengeance needs to keep his hands up - Hong had a free shot at his head there. Vengeance tries to clinch there but Hong circles away.
Hong connects with an inside leg kick. Hong looks to land a left hand but Vengeance moved out of range nicely. Vengeance is looking to clinch. Vengeance tries to clinch and Hong counters with a nice low kick that buckles Vengeance's knee momentarily. Hong throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Kota gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kota takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Kota looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bong is fending him off so far but Kota persists. Nope, Bong circles away and we're back to standing. El Ka Bong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lias Kota. Bong throws out a loose jab but Kota uses good head movement to avoid it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jay throws a push kick but Terranova slaps the foot to one side. Jay lands a big head kick that sends Terranova tumbling to the mat! Jay takes a step backwards and waves Terranova back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Vinnie Terranova has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jay explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Jay looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Jay throws a head kick but Terranova moves out of range.
Terranova wants to clinch but Jay slips to the side and Jay counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Jay pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Terranova tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Jay counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Terranova looks winded! Thud! ouch! good body kick from Jay - that will leave a mark!
Jay bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Terranova has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Jay throws a head kick that misses. Terranova takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Jay turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Jay throws a front kick that sends Terranova stumbling back into the cage. A solid leg kick lands there for Jay.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Jay lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Terranova has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Terranova and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Jay lands a nice looking kick to the body. Terranova takes a step back to recover.
