The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roblin is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Islamanov's half guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Islamanov is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Roblin pulls his head out easily. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Roblin is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Roblin is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Islamanov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kinte throws a sloppy head kick and Coy moves out of range easily. Kinte lands a nice leg kick that just misses Coy's sensitive parts. Coy looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kinte is fending him off so far but Coy persists. Nope, Kinte circles away and we're back to standing. Coy dives in and grabs Kinte's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kinte pushes down on Coy's head and hops out. Horrible takedown attempt by Coy or perhaps it was just good defense by Kinte, which made it look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carlos Coy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Coy tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kinte swivels and escapes. Nice body punch from Kinte. Kunta Kinte seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A solid leg kick lands there for Kinte.

It looks like Carlos Coy has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Kinte throws a sloppy head kick and Coy moves out of range easily. Coy fails miserably with a takedown attempt. A good leg kick by Kinte. Coy misses with a takedown attempt - Kinte sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Kinte throws a head kick that half lands.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kinte stuns Coy with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Coy is breathing heavily. Coy stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kinte. Kinte pushes Coy away with a front kick. Coy on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Good standup being displayed there by Kinte as he connects with a hook. Kinte has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Coy is landing a low percentage of strikes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kinte throws a leg kick which misses Coy's front leg but catches the back leg as Coy tries to avoid it. Kinte connects with a solid leg kick. Kinte fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Coy looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Kinte instigates a clinch. Kinte scores a nice knee to the body.
Coy takes a knee to the side of the body. Kinte lands a nice knee to the body. Kinte working some nice short punches in the clinch. Kinte working Coy over with knees to the body. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Kinte obliges.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kinte has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Coy - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Kinte, and another! Coy is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bangs dips down and scores with a jab to the body. King swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bangs counters with a shoot takedown. King fights it but they end up in guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Bangs passes easily into side control. Nice work. Bangs remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. King tries to bench press Bangs off him but Bangs keeps the position. Bangs works to advance to full mount. King defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Bangs lands a big elbow - King is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and King is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Lester Bangs! After winning the bout, Lester Bangs thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hardman is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Hard. Hardman misses with a looping left. A combination from Hard does no damage. Hardman has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Wolfschanze in the buildup to the fight. Hardman digs a good body shot into Hard's ribs. Hard takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Hardman lunges at Hard with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hard's hand.
It looks like Tyson Hard has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hard dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Hardman misses with a left hand and Hard holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Hard escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've been informed that Hard has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. A big left from Hardman misses. Nice uppercut there from Hardman. A big right from Hardman misses. A combination from Hard does no damage. Hardman misses with the combination.

Hardman swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Hardman lands a nice hook to Hard's body. Hard takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Hard connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Hardman misses with a two punch combination.

and Hard counters with a series of strikes. Hardman will be more careful next time no doubt. Hard throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Hard paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. A big left from Hardman misses. Hardman is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hard. Hard catches Hardman with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! A slow jab from Hardman misses its intended target.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hardman misses with an uppercut. Hardman throws a looping overhand right but Hard ducks down to avoid it. Hard fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

That has opened up Tyson Hard's cut even more. Hardman misses with an uppercut. Hardman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hard moves away. Hardman swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Hardman showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hard.
Hard slips under a jab. Hardman misses the shot to the body. Hard ducks under a wild hook from Hardman. Hard throws a right and a left that Hardman avoids nicely. Good exchange - Hardman coming out on top. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hardman uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hard.
Hard blocks a jab. Hardman throws a looping overhand right but Hard ducks down to avoid it. Hard swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Hard avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Hard ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Hardman throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hard. Hardman throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Hard counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hardman thinking. Nice cross by Hardman. Hardman on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Hardman misses with a hook
enabling Hard to counter with a crisp jab. Hardman lands a jab-cross combination.
The cut above Tyson Hard's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Hard lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

A combination from Hard does no damage. Hard throws a series of punches but Hardman moves out of range. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hard lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Hardman takes a swing at Hard's ribcage but misses. Hardman tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hard was well out of range. Poor timing from Hardman. Hardman stalks Hard and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hard's face. Hard staggers backwards, shaken. Hardman throws out a loose jab but Hard uses good head movement to avoid it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bruce Hardman dominated that round. The cut man is working on Tyson Hard's cut. That's time! Hardman's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
A combination from Hardman does no damage. We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Hard in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Hardman works Hard's body with a nice hook. Hardman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hard moves away. Hardman throws a shot from downtown. Hard moves away and avoids it. Hard misses with a looping left. Hard takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Hardman misses the shot to the body. Hardman keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Tyson Hard's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Hardman will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Hard misses with a wild body shot. Hardman throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Hardman misses with a left hand and Hard counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hardman thinking. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hard throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hardman sees it coming and avoids it easily. Hard throws a body shot but no joy. Hardman moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Hardman takes a swing at Hard's ribcage but misses. Hardman misses with a lunging right hand
and Hard counters with a left to the body. Hard defending well as Hardman loads up on a big left hand. A looping hook to the body misses from Hard. Hardman does a little dance to reset his feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cyr thows a body kick. Lynch tries to catch it but that hurt him. Nice body kick there by Cyr. Lynch shoots in and bounces Cyr off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Lynch trying to control the position from guard on top but Cyr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cyr has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lynch can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cyr looking for a guillotine here but Lynch defends easily.
