The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tulfo throws a leg kick which misses Barbossa's front leg but catches the back leg as Barbossa tries to avoid it. Tulfo slaps away a takedown attempt from Barbossa, before circling back to the center of the mat. Decent striking displayed by Barbossa there. Tulfo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Barbossa bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Barbossa controls the position. Tulfo is trying to control Barbossa's posture but Barbossa avoids it. Barbossa scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Tulfo to see if he's OK. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Barbossa passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Tulfo! Barbossa connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Barbossa tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Barbossa has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! NcDemomnd darts in and clinches Mewes up against the cage. NcDemomnd tries a body shot but Mewes blocks it.
NcDemomnd looking to slow down the pace here. Mewes wants a takedown but no success here.
Mewes presses NcDemomnd against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Mewes can't get the takedown.
Mewes keeps control of NcDemomnd as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Mewes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Mewes throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. NcDemomnd blocks a body shot from Mewes. We've been told by Mewes's head coaches at The Boom Boom Room that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Mewes moves out of range of the leg kick from NcDemomnd. Mewes gets a takedown into half guard. Mewes looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

He's almost out here... but no, Mewes gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. NcDemomnd taking a bit of punishment here - Mewes scoring with strikes. NcDemomnd wants to get back to his feet but Mewes is dominant here and he's now got NcDemomnd's back! NcDemomnd is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Mewes is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. NcDemomnd defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mewes working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. NcDemomnd is doing well to defend. Mewes seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! NcDemomnd is forced to tap and this one is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steele darts in looking for a takedown but Mangold gets double underhooks and turns Steele into the cage. Mangold prevents a takedown attempt there.

The fight stays on the outside here - Mangold looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Mangold shoots in for a takedown but Steele shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Mangold changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Steele tries to avoid it but Mangold manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Steele to the ground. Steele escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Steele changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mangold looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steele thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Mangold wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Steele working away. Steele tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Steele has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Steele goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Mangold has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Steele but great work by Mangold. Mangold grinds an elbow into Steele's temple. Mangold landing a few strikes. Steele sneaks back into half guard. Mangold drops an elbow to the side of Steele's head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mangold not landing any meaningful shots this time. Steele looking for submissions off his back. Mangold working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steele gets full guard. Steele is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Mangold lands a couple of digs. Mangold must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Mangold wants to control from the top but Steele keeps moving. Mangold trying to stand up but can't free himself from Steele's guard. Mangold distracts Steele with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Mangold wants to pass the guard but Steele is keeping the position. Mangold preventing the sweep. Mangold throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Danny Mangold opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scott tries for a takedown but Huerta circles away easily enabling Huerta to counter with a crisp jab. Scott swinging wildly here.
Scott shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Huerta counters with a nice body shot. Huerta tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Scott manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Scott closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Huerta did well to prevent Scott getting side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Scott trying to control from half guard but Huerta is working away. Scott throws a strike but Huerta manages to get a kimura sweep and he's found himself on top with the kimura half locked in! This would be a real turnaround! He's torquing it... Will Scott tap??? YES! He's tapped! This one is all over!

A relieved looking Paul Huerta thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. Samvesu covers up and Vanzetti unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vieira shoots in looking for a takedown. Espada tries to sprawl out of it but Vieira keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Espada manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Vieira on the wrong end of a nice hook. Vieira definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Espada throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Vieira stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Vieira takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Espada waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Vieira. Espada scores with a body shot.

Espada throws a shot from downtown. Vieira moves away and avoids it. A big right from Espada misses. Espada is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Vieira. Vieira uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Espada. Vieira ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Vieira steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Espada. Espada has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Vieira is landing a low percentage of strikes. Vieira ducks under a wild hook from Espada. Vieira steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Espada. Vieira seems to have got his legs back now. Espada cracks Vieira with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Vieira tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Espada pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Vieira is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tsvetkov tests Smith 's chin there with a solid looking shot. Tsvetkov moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Smith ducked under it nicely. Tsvetkov looks to throw the jab but Smith is out of range. Smith avoids the body shot from Tsvetkov.

Smith has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Ballas Only in the buildup to the fight. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Smith scores with a nice right hand.

Smith sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Tsvetkov's guard. Smith passes the guard and advances to mount! Smith controlling from mount. Tsvetkov working to try and regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tsvetkov is looking to escape. This has been an exciting period of action! Smith with shots to the head and body - Tsvetkov looks very uncomfortable down there. Smith looking to finish Tsvetkov with some ground and pound. This is bad for Tsvetkov!
It looks like Gattsu Tsvetkov has been cut. Smith landing shots from mount.
That has opened up Gattsu Tsvetkov's cut even more. Smith with shots to the head and body - Tsvetkov looks very uncomfortable down there.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Macotti tries to clinch up and Cartwright counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Macotti's guard now. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Macotti pulls Cartwright in close to prevent any damage. Cartwright throwing strikes from guard but Macotti blocks nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Macotti wants to sweep but no luck. Cartwright wants to control from the top but Macotti keeps moving. Cartwright postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Macotti tries to land a sweep but no joy. Cartwright landing with the ground and pound. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cartwright stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Macotti swivels though and keeps the full guard. Cartwright throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Cartwright drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Macotti manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cartwright has Macotti in his guard. Cartwright is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Macotti is aware though and is defending well. I've been told that Macotti has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game. Macotti trying to control but Cartwright is working from the bottom. Macotti drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Cartwright dives on top into guard. Macotti keeping moving, preventing Cartwright from controlling successfully. Cartwright cracks Macotti with a solid left hand. Cartwright wants to control from the top but Macotti keeps moving.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slow jab from Bravo misses its intended target. Ueda tries to clinch but Bravo is having none of it. Ueda tries to close the distance and clinch but Bravo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bravo paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Bravo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ueda's waist but Ueda gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bravo off to one side. Bravo throws a body kick that misses. Bravo shoots in for a takedown but Ueda shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Ueda doesn't manage to clinch there - Bravo circles away.
Ueda wants to clinch. Ueda slips a straight right by Bravo. Ueda tries to close the distance and clinch but Bravo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ueda darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Bravo wants to improve his position but Ueda is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bravo is staying active underneath Ueda, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bravo looking for submissions off his back. Bravo keeping hold of Ueda's head, controlling as best he can. Bravo looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Ueda missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Ueda prevents Bravo from improving his position. Bravo gets back to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ueda prevents Bravo from moving into mount. Bravo is looking to take a break and control but Ueda is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ueda gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Ueda really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bravo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bravo goes for an armbar but Ueda turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Ueda. Bravo working for a triangle but Ueda defends it easily.
Ueda looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bravo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
