1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Marcus Bamberg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Cream Pie! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bamberg gets the takedown into side control. Bamberg will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Bamberg moves into full mount! Pie is working to get back to half guard.
Pie is squirming around, avoiding Bamberg's attempts to control the action. Bamberg has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Bamberg looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Pie regains half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bamberg frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bamberg lands a big shot there that rocks Pie but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Bamberg avoids the attempt from Pie to control. Bamberg seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Pie is holding on tight.
Pie is looking to improve his position but Bamberg isn't that keen on the idea. A nice elbow there by Bamberg. Bamberg wants to control the pace but Pie is squirming around nicely.

Bamberg lands a heavy elbow. Pie is looking to get to half guard. Pie tries to hold on but Bamberg postures up. Bamberg has hold of Pie's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Pie manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bamberg looking to control but Pie is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Bamberg landing strikes, looking to finish! Pie is desperately trying to improve his position but Bamberg has a good base and remains in mount. Bamberg lands a big shot there that rocks Pie but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bamberg tries to control but Pie wriggling away. Bamberg lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Bamberg looking to control but Pie is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Bamberg cracks Pie with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Bamberg controlling from the full mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bamberg pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcus Bamberg dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Pie closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Bamberg is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. Marcus Bamberg overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Pie is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bamberg is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. You can see the frustration on Bamberg's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Pie tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pie trying to control the position but Bamberg is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pie thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Pie looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Bamberg is looking for a sweep. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Pie working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Bamberg is not content to let Pie control the position. Bamberg tries to buck Pie off but Pie is having none of it. Pie thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Pie throws an elbow but Bamberg slips to the side and avoids it well. Bamberg manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bamberg trying to control the action but Pie is working from the bottom. Bamberg tries to pass the half guard into mount. Pie knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Bamberg not doing much here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Saarenpaa pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Saarenpaa takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Kantola tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Saarenpaa was well out of range. Poor timing from Kantola. Saarenpaa misses with an attempted mid kick.

Kantola throws a jab when Saarenpaa was well out of range. Saarenpaa listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Kantola connects with a body shot. Saarenpaa ducks right into an uppercut from Kantola. Mika Saarenpaa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Saarenpaa lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kantola has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kantola and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Kantola uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Saarenpaa. Kantola throws a lazy right hand but Saarenpaa sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Saarenpaa throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Saarenpaa defending well as Kantola loads up on a big left hand. Kantola takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Saarenpaa looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Saarenpaa scores with a head kick. Kantola tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Kantola cracks Saarenpaa with a right hand to the side of the head. Kantola throws a body punch but Saarenpaa moves out of range. Saarenpaa tries to work over Kantola's front leg with a kick but Kantola checks it. Kantola getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Saarenpaa misses with a low kick. Kantola connects with a body shot that sends Saarenpaa's belly button to the back. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kantola checks a leg kick. Kantola tries to land a front kick but Saarenpaa steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Kantola walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Nice shot by Saarenpaa. Kantola has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Saarenpaa. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Saarenpaa wants to land a leg kick but Kantola is out of range. Kantola takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Saarenpaa throws a leg kick and Kantola counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Saarenpaa thows a leg kick but Kantola checks it and Kantola cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

That was a close round but I would say that Antti Kantola will probably get the nod. That's time! Kantola's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Saarenpaa manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Saarenpaa throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Jab by Kantola. Saarenpaa takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Kantola scores with a jab. Saarenpaa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Saarenpaa throws a low kick, looking for Kantola's leg but Kantola calmly moves out of range. Kantola stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Saarenpaa. Saarenpaa throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kantola sees it coming and avoids it easily. Kantola lands with a thumping leg kick.

Mika Saarenpaa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Saarenpaa listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Antti Kantola is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Saarenpaa feints and then cracks Kantola's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kantola down. Saarenpaa attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Saarenpaa tried to score with a low kick but Kantola checks it. Kantola misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Saarenpaa.
Saarenpaa throws a leg kick that is checked and Kantola counters with a nice low kick that buckles Saarenpaa's knee momentarily. Kantola checks the leg kick. Saarenpaa swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Saarenpaa blocks a jab. Kantola bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Saarenpaa's head backwards. Kantola fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Saarenpaa looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. A jab from Saarenpaa does it's job there. Nice jab there from Kantola. Kantola tries for a takedown but Saarenpaa sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Saarenpaa lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Saarenpaa misses the shot to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kantola pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Saarenpaa back to the cage. Kantola follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kantola goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Kantola closes the distance and pushes Saarenpaa back into the cage. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Kantola stalling the fight.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Antti Kantola. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kantola, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Flarkgaard moves forwards but Oki connects with a nice, crisp jab. Oki shoots for a double leg takedown but Flarkgaard sprawls well. He's pushed Oki's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Oki circles away from the clinch attempt.

Hoyt Flarkgaard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Krzysiek Oki. Flarkgaard blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Flarkgaard gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Oki.

And that's the end of the fight! Claus Clausen showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Clausen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Easterlund lands a really nice looking cross but Kilmster seems unphased.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Suhonen looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Demolition Man Randy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Randy fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. It looks like Juha Ahokas has been cut. Ei tries to bum rush Ahokas with a series of wild strikes but Ahokas uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Ei lands a left and a right that send Ahokas crashing to the mat, dazed. Ei thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Ahokas is rocked! Ei ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Ahokas's jaw. Ahokas's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Ei does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jampo throws a left and a right that both miss
and Yelgersmold counters with a lovely shot to the body. Good exchange - Jampo coming out on top. Jampo throws out a loose jab but Yelgersmold uses good head movement to avoid it. Jampo misses with a right hand and Jampo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Jampo digs a good body shot into Yelgersmold's ribs. Jampo lands a jab.
