That's two minutes gone in the round. Makoto lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Yoshimitsu looks to land a right hand but Makoto moved out of range. Kawabata Makoto is winning the standup battle so far. Makoto misses with an uppercut. Makoto is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Yoshimitsu can do to turn this around? Yoshimitsu on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Makoto. Makoto obviously looking to wear him down.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Makoto, as that shot connected.
Makoto lands with a nice body kick. Yoshimitsu walks into a big right hand from Makoto and goes down! The referee sends Makoto to a neutral corner as Yoshimitsu gets back to his feet. He looks OK so we're back under way. Makoto bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Yoshimitsu slips under a jab. Yoshimitsu moves out of range as Makoto strikes. Yoshimitsu seems to have recovered his senses. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Makoto is looking to slow Yoshimitsu down with leg kicks. Makoto lands with a good body shot. Yoshimitsu is breathing heavily. Makoto fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Yoshimitsu. Makoto uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Yoshimitsu. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kawabata Makoto will take that round after scoring the only knockdown of the round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Makoto looks to land a left hand but Yoshimitsu moved out of range nicely. Makoto takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Makoto jabs at Yoshimitsu's body. Makoto fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Yoshimitsu has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Makoto throws a series of punches but Yoshimitsu moves out of range. Nice shot by Makoto. Yoshimitsu's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Nice defenses there by Yoshimitsu. Makoto defending well as Yoshimitsu loads up on a big left hand. Makoto scores with a decent looking hook. A solid leg kick lands there for Makoto.
Yoshimitsu on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Makoto bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Yoshimitsu's head. Makoto lands a right and a left and another right! Yoshimitsu goes down! Oh, he's in big, big trouble! 3,4,5,6,7,8... he's up to one knee... 9,10! He can't beat the count - this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Malvo closes the distance and scores with a big combo that sends Tonga crashing to the mat! Tonga uses the ropes to get back to his feet and beat the count. The referee looks concerned but he's going to allow it to continue!
Tonga is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Malvo connects with a leg kick. Tonga looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Tonga is still on wobbly legs! Can Malvo finish him? Tonga throws a low kick but it's checked well by Malvo. Malvo blocks the body kick.
Tonga walks straight into a perfectly timed right hook, crumpling him to the floor! Tonga is in all kinds of trouble here - can he beat the count? 3,4,5,6,7,8,9....10 - he's out and it's by a long way too - he didn't ever look like beating that count!
