Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Indica Jatlier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Burke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burke comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Manish Boy kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jatlier lands a leg kick that knocks Burke off balance momentarily. Burke is looking to clinch. Burke throws a half hearted mid kick. An inside leg kick lands from Jatlier. A low kick from Jatlier misses and Burke counters with a nice double leg into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Jatlier manages to get to full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jatlier has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Burke can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Burke trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Jatlier had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Burke defends it easily.

Burke trying to mount his opponent but Jatlier defends it. Jatlier tries to get to full guard but Burke has control of the leg. Jatlier is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Burke pulls his head out easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jatlier is looking for a sweep. Burke is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Burke not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Burke wants to pass to mount but Jatlier is defending the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jatlier is trying to control but can't.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Burke tries to clinch there but Jatlier circles away.
Jatlier takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jatlier tries to land a front kick but Burke steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Jatlier connects with a body shot. Jatlier catches Burke with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Jatlier on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Some bone on bone action there as Jatlier checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Jatlier is looking to land body kicks. Jatlier misses with a head kick.
Burke dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jatlier. That did some damage! The fight stays on the outside here - Jatlier looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jatlier comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Jatlier moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Jatlier walks forward, straight into a front kick from Burke. Jatlier moves out of range of the leg kick from Burke. Jatlier connects with a solid leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Burke shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Burke has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Jatlier. Burke shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jatlier pinned against the cage. Jatlier gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Jatlier tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Burke scores with a slapping inside leg kick. A head kick misses from Burke. Jatlier throws a body punch but Burke moves out of range. Burke attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Indica Jatlier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jatlier is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. A bone on bone clash there as Jatlier blocks the leg kick.

A shot to the liver by Jatlier. Beautiful body shot. Burke throws a head kick that misses. Burke's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jatlier connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Burke scrambles back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but James Burke will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Jatlier moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Burke uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jatlier.

Burke advances to half guard. Burke looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Jatlier has hold of Burke's hands but Burke slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Jatlier wants to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jatlier regains full guard. Nicely done. Burke postures up in Jatlier's guard and throws a big left but Jatlier blocks it. Burke postures up in Jatlier's guard and throws a big left but Jatlier blocks it. Burke scores with a decent looking elbow strike. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Burke accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Jatlier lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Jatlier loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Burke holds on and takes a little breather. Burke has momentary wrist control but Jatlier slips an elbow through the middle. Jatlier trying to control but Burke is working from the bottom. Jatlier pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Burke is keeping the position for now. Burke working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jatlier doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jatlier manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Burke is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jatlier tries to free his leg and advance position but Burke is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burke keeping moving, preventing Jatlier from controlling successfully. Jatlier looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Burke looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Jatlier is looking to wear down Burke with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Jatlier lands with a hook. Burke tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Burke slips under a jab. Jatlier checks a low kick from Burke.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from Burke. No joy for Jatlier on that attempt. Burke closes the distance looking to clinch and Jatlier counters with a nice leg kick. Jatlier has a takedown stuffed. A punch combination from Burke misses. A chopping leg kick lands by Jatlier. Jatlier thows a leg kick but Burke checks it and Burke counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Burke. Burke got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jatlier has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Burke has managed to get both his arms back between Jatlier's legs - danger averted. Burke stays in close to Jatlier's body and controls the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Burke tries to free his leg and advance position but Jatlier is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Burke showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Jatlier feints and then cracks Burke's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Burke down. Burke shoots for a takedown but Jatlier saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. A nice leg kick lands there from Jatlier. Burke throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Indica Jatlier is winning the standup battle so far. Jatlier keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jatlier is looking to chop away at Burke's legs. Jatlier throws a half hearted mid kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jab by Jatlier. Burke throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jatlier was covering up waiting for the punch and Burke finishes the takedown easily into guard. Burke throws a big right hand that misses. Jatlier escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Burke gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Burke throwing strikes but missing. Burke is pushing down on Jatlier's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jatlier is fighting to maintain full guard but Burke has managed to sneak the leg through. Burke is keen to just control but Jatlier is a slippery customer. Indica Jatlier has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Jatlier is looking for a sweep. Burke is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Burke is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jatlier doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Burke. Burke with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Burke missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Jatlier works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jatlier is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Jatlier looking to control.
Burke postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Burke throwing strikes from guard but Jatlier blocks nicely. Jatlier doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jatlier fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Burke manages to avoid it. Jatlier tries to land a front kick but Burke steps back. That's four minutes gone in the round. Jatlier throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jatlier misses with a head kick.
Jatlier throws a shot from downtown. Burke moves away and avoids it. Burke lands a leg kick that knocks Jatlier off balance momentarily. Burke tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Burke throws a head kick that Jatlier semi-blocks.
Jatlier throws a lazy right hand but Burke sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Jatlier misses with an attempted mid kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jatlier throws a leg kick and Burke decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jatlier's guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jatlier is on top in guard.
Burke looking for a sweep. Not yet Burke, not yet. We've been hearing that Jatlier has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Burke is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jatlier is aware though and is defending well. Our spies down at at ~T~ Troid - Gym inform us that Burke has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Jatlier connects with a couple of short punches.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Indica Jatlier. I think Burke has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zelenka feints a jab promting Rodalgo to slip. Zelenka then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Rodalgo slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Zelenka lands with a nice body punch. Rodalgo chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Zelenka can pounce on him.

and Rodalgo counters with a takedown into side control. Rodalgo wants to control but Zelenka is keeping him busy. Zelenka wants to control from the top but Rodalgo keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zelenka postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Zelenka's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Zelenka trying to control but Rodalgo is working from the bottom. Rodalgo controls Zelenka momentarily but Zelenka frees himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Rodalgo wants to control but Zelenka passes easily into half guard.

Zelenka's coach down at The Charles Martel School of Greatness was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Zelenka's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Zelenka thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Rodalgo if he has to take too many more of those.
Zelenka has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Zelenka lands with a shot to the body. A decent looking cross lands there for Zelenka. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rodalgo gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Zelenka. Jan Zelenka seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Gale comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Gale has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Gale cracks Matias with a good jab.

Pei stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Proudstar. Proudstar misses with a kick to the body.
Proudstar shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pei pinned against the cage. Pei gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Pei fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Pei scores with a punch to the head.
It looks like James Proudstar has been cut. Pei listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Proudstar slips a straight right by Pei. Proudstar is looking to land body kicks. Proudstar scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Proudstar misses with an uppercut. Pei works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Proudstar throws a right hand that Pei ducks under and follows up with a left that Pei also avoids with ease. A punch lands to the side of Proudstar 's head but he takes it in his stride. Pei digs a good body shot into Proudstar's ribs. Proudstar is breathing heavily. Pei lands with a nice body punch. Pei connects with a solid leg kick. Proudstar on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Pei looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Pei Rushes Proudstar and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Proudstar is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Pei Piles on the pressure and Proudstar crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
