6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Glen Quagmire! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quagmire throws a leg kick which misses Szczerbiec's front leg but catches the back leg as Szczerbiec tries to avoid it. Quagmire feints and then cracks Szczerbiec's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Szczerbiec down. Quagmire tries to clinch but fails miserably and Szczerbiec counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Good leg kick by Quagmire there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Szczerbiec blocks a jab. Szczerbiec throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Quagmire connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Szczerbiec takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Szczerbiec has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Quagmire throws a push kick but Szczerbiec slaps the foot to one side.

Quagmire jerks Szczerbiec's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Szczerbiec drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Quagmire goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Quagmire because Szczerbiec was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

A very excited looking Glen Quagmire made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Seikkeris accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Seikkeris stands up over Fitzsimmons, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Seikkeris sitting in guard, not really doing much. Seikkeris landing some decent shots from guard.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
 It looks like Carlos Rey has been cut. Johnson tries to land a front kick but Rey steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Johnson slaps away a takedown attempt from Rey, before circling back to the center of the mat. Rey tries to score a power double leg takedown but Johnson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rey somewhat.
Johnson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Rey keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully. Rey is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Johnson is controlling him.

 It looks like Abraham Safforn has been cut. Safforn has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Helix lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Helix has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Safforn walks into a stiff left hand from Helix.

Li will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Li working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. We've been hearing that Li has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Shinichi regains full guard. Nicely done. Shinichi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Li throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Shinichi works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Li controlling from the top position.

Shinichi has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Li is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Jangles tries to clinch up but Keller circles away and keeps his distance. Jangles throws the left hand but Keller avoids the punch easily. Jangles tries to land a front kick but Keller steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Jangles tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Keller was well out of range. Poor timing from Jangles. A swing and a miss from Keller.

Keller gets tackled into the cage by Jangles. Jangles maintains the clinch. Keller wants to get back to striking at distance but Jangles won't allow it.
Jangles tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jangles misses with a hook from the clinch. Keller tries to circle away but Jangles has him pinned against the cage. Keller has a couple of punches blocked by Jangles.

Keller is trying to force a seperation but Jangles has the dominant position. Jangles pushes Keller back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Keller lands a hook that snaps the head of Jangles backwards. Keller has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. A head punch on the inside from Jangles fails to land. Jangles works on Keller's body with a couple of short punches. A short right from Jangles. Keller lands with a light punch inside.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Lester Jangles's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
