Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vince Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Riddick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vince Hardy had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 146.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Richard Riddick will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Riddick lands a slapping body shot.
Hardy takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Nice defenses there by Riddick. Riddick lands a jab. Richard Riddick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Riddick misses with a head kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hardy bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Hardy loads up on a big right hand but Riddick slips the punch. Riddick connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hardy's hands. Riddick missing with a left hand there. Hardy was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Hardy uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Riddick. We've been hearing reports that Hardy has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Riddick ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Hardy scores with a sloppy right hand. Riddick should have avoided that one. Riddick swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Riddick misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Hardy distracts Riddick with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hardy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Riddick working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hardy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hardy passes Riddick's left leg - he's now in half guard. Riddick is trying to stand up here but Hardy is controlling him well. Riddick tries to roll over but Hardy keeps him under control. Hardy tries to pass the half guard into mount. Riddick knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hardy prevents Riddick from improving his position. Riddick is still trying to improve position. Hardy throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Hardy working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Riddick is in trouble now - Hardy has advanced to mount! Hardy throwing strikes here but Riddick is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Riddick really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hardy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hardy has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Riddick's face.
Hardy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Hardy dominating with strikes here. Hardy postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Riddick looks a forlorn figure.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Riddick is in a horrible position here. Hardy smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Decent striking displayed by Riddick there. Riddick lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Hardy is rocked! Riddick throws a lazy right hand but Hardy sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Oh Hardy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! A jab from Riddick misses. Riddick jabbing away but nothing is landing. Riddick throws a big shot that misses. A head kick misses from Riddick. Riddick misses with a hook. Riddick misses with a hook. Hardy ducked under it nicely. Hardy seems to have got his legs back now. Riddick ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Hardy slips a jab from Riddick. Hardy works Riddick's body with a nice hook. Nice shot lands for Riddick. Hardy misses the shot to the body. Riddick looks to score with a jab to the body but Hardy is just out of range. Riddick throws a monster overhand right that drops Hardy! Riddick follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

Baron scrambles back to his feet. Baron lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Plytiniskis falls backwards - clearly groggy! Baron dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Numazawa throws a sloppy head kick and Steamboat moves out of range easily. Steamboat cracks a nice hook into Numazawa's ribs. Numazawa throws a leg kick that is checked letting Steamboat counter with a right hand. Numazawa throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The fighters circling - Numazawa throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Numazawa explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Steamboat moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Numazawa fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Numazawa takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Numazawa thuds a left hand into Steamboat's body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Steamboat tries to bum rush Numazawa with a series of wild strikes but Numazawa uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Steamboat smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. A solid leg kick lands there for Numazawa.

Numazawa blinks but takes it well.
Numazawa is rocked! Steamboat finds Numazawa's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Numazawa flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Steamboat lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Numazawa will be OK.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Roncesvalles throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Brown works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Roncesvalles got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brown has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Roncesvalles has managed to get both his arms back between Brown's legs - danger averted. Roncesvalles distracts Brown with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Brown manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Roncesvalles manages to get himself to full guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Emmett Brown showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Brown, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
