Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lay Pray! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Stuart Stardust! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Lou da Vinci and Russell Pearce.

Stardust tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pray paws at him with a jab and circles away. Stardust is looking to clinch. Stardust lands with a nice combination. Pray backs away looking to recover.

Pray drives through with a takedown into Stardust's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Stardust is looking to stand up but Pray isn't so interested in that idea. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stardust is on top in guard.
Pray is looking to stand up but Stardust isn't so interested in that idea. Stardust would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Pray wants to stand but Stardust is controlling the position.

Pray wants to get back to his feet but Stardust is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Pray has a closed guard, preventing Stardust from standing up.

Stardust displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pray. Stardust tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pray was well out of range. Poor timing from Stardust. A nice combination there by Stardust.

Pray feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Pray working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Pray won't allow Stardust to get back to his feet. Pray postures up and lands a big shot to Stardust's brow. Stardust wants to stand and escape but Pray is having none of it. Pray engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stardust gets caught napping as Pray dives in and scores a takedown. Stardust manages to retain guard. Stardust is trying to control the position but Pray postures up. Pray content to stall in guard here. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Pray scoring with punches to the head and body. Pray in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Pray stays in close to Stardust's body and controls the position.

Pray looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Stardust is fending him off so far but Pray persists. Nope, Stardust circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lay Pray. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stardust tries to clinch up but Pray circles away and keeps his distance. Pray keeps the fight on the outside.
Pray scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The strikes coming from Pray are missing the target in this wave of attacks. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pray wants to control but Stardust is keeping him busy. Stardust wants to control but Pray postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lay Pray dominated that round. The cut man is working on Lay Pray's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Stardust throws a series of punches but Pray moves out of range. Pray shoots in looking for a takedown. Stardust tries to sprawl out of it but Pray keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stardust manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Stardust is looking to clinch.
Pray decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Pray perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Pray is keen to just control but Stardust is a slippery customer. Stardust is looking to escape. Pray sitting and controlling from the half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Horrible takedown attempt by Pray or perhaps it was just good defense by Stardust, which made it look bad. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pray. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lay Pray. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stardust gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Pray wants to free his trapped foot but Stardust is holding on for dear life with his legs.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. A leg kick checked by Pray. Stardust wants to clinch. Pray fails with the takedown. Pray fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Stardust jabs Pray right on the nose. Pray blinks but takes it well. Pray takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Stardust wobbles Pray with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Stardust dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Pray to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Stuart Stardust! Our winner, Stuart Stardust, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.

Minor changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Minor tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Barao DeSilva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Minor doesn't manage to clinch there - DeSilva circles away.
DeSilva avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
DeSilva misses with a looping left.
DeSilva shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than DeSilva was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Minor can't do much from the bottom here. DeSilva landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A lull in the action here as DeSilva stalls from top position. DeSilva's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Minor looking for submissions off his back. DeSilva is looking to pass Minor's guard but actually Minor recovers to full guard. DeSilva postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

DeSilva passes into half guard. DeSilva sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Minor defending well though. Minor tries to get to full guard but DeSilva has control of the leg.
DeSilva is looking for a kimura but Minor is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for DeSilva to get the leverage. Minor told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. DeSilva is taking a breather. Minor says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. DeSilva is keen to just control but Minor is a slippery customer.

Minor is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. DeSilva is aware though and is defending well. DeSilva slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. DeSilva seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Minor for as long as he can get away with. DeSilva loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. DeSilva wants to control from the top but Minor keeps moving. DeSilva slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

DeSilva lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Minor! A nice elbow there by DeSilva. DeSilva has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Minor's face.

Minor in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! DeSilva tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Minor is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get DeSilva off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. The referee is taking a good look at Minor as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from DeSilva!
Minor is trying to defend against the choke here but DeSilva has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. DeSilva Tightens the hold and Minor taps out furiously! DeSilva displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

A very excited looking Barao DeSilva made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

Kurosawa is looking to land body kicks. Gustafson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Gustafson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Kurosawa avoids the body shot from Gustafson.
Gustafson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kurosawa. Kurosawa avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kurosawa gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Gustafson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Gustafson throws a lazy right hand but Kurosawa sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kurosawa goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Kurosawa pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Kurosawa is looking to slow Gustafson down with leg kicks. Kurosawa needs to keep his hands up - Gustafson had a free shot at his head there. Kurosawa misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kurosawa slips under a jab. Kurosawa throws a head kick but Gustafson moves out of range.
Gustafson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kurosawa doesn't seem bothered though. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kurosawa throws a push kick but Gustafson slaps the foot to one side. Kurosawa takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Kurosawa misses with a head kick.
Gustafson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kurosawa was well out of range. Poor timing from Gustafson. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Gustafson dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kurosawa lands with a kick to the temple. Gustafson shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Kurosawa throws the kick towards the body but Gustafson avoids it. Kurosawa throws a wild body kick that Gustafson sees coming a mile off. Jon Gustafson is winning the standup battle so far. Crunch! Kurosawa slams his shin into Gustafson's torso. Kurosawa showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Gustafson.
Kurosawa lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Kurosawa doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Gustafson swinging wildly here.
Kurosawa thuds his shin into the meat of Gustafson's side. A looping hook to the body misses from Gustafson. Kurosawa does a little dance to reset his feet. Gustafson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gustafson throws a right and a left that Kurosawa avoids nicely. Kurosawa uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gustafson.

A shot to the body from Gustafson misses and Kurosawa counters with a nice leg kick. Gustafson connects with the punch. Gustafson lands with a hook. Kurosawa tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Kurosawa swings and misses with a hook to the body.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Comte Jr here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Merridew fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Johnson manages to avoid it. Merridew misses with a body shot.

Contreras connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Douglas's hands. Contreras has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Contreras throws a body shot but no joy.

Douglas's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Douglas was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
