Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hector Sanchez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Daley Lintz! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A chopping leg kick lands by Sanchez. Lintz on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Sanchez throws a sloppy head kick and Lintz moves out of range easily. Sanchez throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Lintz uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sanchez. Lintz throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sanchez sees it coming and avoids it easily. Hector Sanchez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lintz misses with a lunging right hand
and Sanchez counters with a straight right hand. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sanchez connects with a jab. Sanchez paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Lintz misses with a looping left. Lintz has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Sanchez. Sanchez connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Lintz's hands. Lintz drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Sanchez sends Lintz crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Sanchez is motioning to the referee to let Lintz up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Lintz is rocked! Lintz looks winded! Sanchez fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Lintz is still on wobbly legs! Can Sanchez finish him? Sanchez Throws a clean left jab. Sanchez Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Lintz's chin! Lintz crumbles to the ground and Sanchez follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Sanchez!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Hector Sanchez! A very excited looking Hector Sanchez rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
