The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trainer 1 jabbing away but nothing is landing. Trainer 1 misses with a lunging right hand
and Takamura counters with a thumping low kick. A combination from Takamura does no damage. Takamura bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Trainer 1's head backwards. Trainer 1 misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Takamura.
A leg kick checked by Takamura. Trainer 1 swings for the body but Takamura moves out of range.
Trainer 1 looks to score with a jab to the body but Takamura is just out of range. Trainer 1 is looking to score with low kicks. Takamura has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Takamura there as he acknowledges the shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Trainer 1 cracks Takamura with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Jab from Trainer 1. Takamura throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Trainer 1 takes a swing at Takamura's ribcage but misses.

Some bone on bone action there as Takamura checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. That kick from Trainer 1 tenderised Takamura's leg. Takamura is trying to keep his angry face on. Takamura keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Stand-Up Trainer 1 seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Trainer 1 tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Takamura was well out of range. Poor timing from Trainer 1. Takamura slips a straight right by Trainer 1. Takamura throws a hook but Trainer 1 blocks it. Trainer 1 thuds his shin into the meat of Takamura's side. Trainer 1 throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trainer 1 takes a shot right to the bread basket. Takamura looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Trainer 1 closes the distance and lands a one-two. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Trainer 1 misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Takamura.
Takamura looks to land a right hand but Trainer 1 moved out of range. Trainer 1 does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Trainer 1 throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Takamura throws a series of punches but Trainer 1 avoids them all with ease. Takamura checks a leg kick. Trainer 1 closes the distance and catches Takamura with a lead hook that drops him to the canvas! Takamura is clearly dazed and struggling here! 3,4,5,6,7 and Takamura is up to his feet but the referee has called it off! Takamura is still far too wobbly and he's not going to allow the fight to continue! Trainer 1 takes it!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anastasia with a body punch. A glancing blow. Anastasia is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Kater wants to clinch and Anastasia holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Kater is trying to push Anastasia away but Anastasia has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere. Kater is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Anastasia is defending well for now. Anastasia breaks from the clinch.
