The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balas misses with a hook
and Carliano counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Carliano tries to land a front kick but Balas steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
We've been informed that Balas has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Balas fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Balas fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Carliano on the side of the head.
Balas checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Balas throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Oooooh!!! Balas has knocked Carliano down with a huge combo! Balas steps away and waves a wobbly Carliano back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Balas Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Jel lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Saastala circles away quickly and effectively.
Saastala dodges the punch combination from Jel.
Saastala uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jel.
Saastala scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jel doesn't seem bothered though.
