The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chamomile closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. James did well to prevent Chamomile getting side control. Chamomile stops James from getting back to his feet.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! James is trying to maintain the position but Chamomile is very close to passing his half guard. Chamomile wants to work for an arm triangle but James is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
James moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. James looking to hit a scissor sweep but Chamomile is one step ahead there. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. willam tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. willam remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. I looks like willam might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

It looks like Colin Concrete has been cut. Concrete needs to keep his hands up - Boyer had a free shot at his head there. Concrete is trying hard to land a takedown here. Boyer sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Boyer explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Boyer keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Boyer with a nice cross. Boyer lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Concrete has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Colin Concrete. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boyer lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Concrete is breathing heavily. Boyer fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Concrete.

Concrete closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Boyer lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Whack! Boyer lands a heavy head kick that drops Concrete. The ref tackles Boyer to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Concrete was done.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Butts fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kalir sprawls well initially but Butts persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Butts wants to control but Kalir is keeping him busy. Kalir is looking to improve his position.

Butts seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kalir does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Butts working the head and body with strikes. Kalir is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Butts pulls his head out easily. Kalir wants to improve his position but Butts is controlling well.

That was a close round but I would say that Dmitry Nagiev will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Dmitry Nagiev's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
