The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bergen is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Daniel Bergen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bergen fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Brayn. Bergen is looking to slow Brayn down with leg kicks. Bergen connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Brayn takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Bergen leaves Brayn with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Bergen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Brayn sees it coming and avoids it easily. Brayn scores with a jab. Bergen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brayn moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bergen connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Brayn takes one on the button. Brayn fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bergen avoids it really well and circles away. Bergen throws a nice inside leg kick. Brayn shoots in for a takedown but Bergen shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Bergen waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Brayn. Bergen throws a jab when Brayn was well out of range. Bergen moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bergen lands an overhand right. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Brayn tries for a takedown but Bergen sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Bergen lands a jab. Bergen fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Brayn on the side of the head.
Brayn is rocked! Bergen throws a pinpoint strike between Brayn's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Brayn crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Bergen scores a great knockout victory!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stijakovic moves away from the strike by Shoupp. Stijakovic fails with the takedown and Shoupp counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Shoupp. Shoupp throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Stijakovic looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Shoupp trying to control but Stijakovic is working from the bottom. Shoupp has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Shoupp wants to pass the guard but Stijakovic is keeping the position. We've been hearing that Shoupp has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Shoupp working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shoupp is looking to work some ground and pound but Stijakovic has wrist control. Shoupp is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Stijakovic can't keep his opponent in guard - Shoupp advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stijakovic can do anything to dispel that myth. Shoupp content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Shoupp thows a huge punch but Stijakovic dodges it nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shoupp missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Stijakovic wants to stand back up but Shoupp manages to pass into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Shoupp wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stijakovic keeps working. Shoupp misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Stijakovic has his takedown stuffed and Shoupp counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Stijakovic! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Shoupp in side control, throwing shots but Stijakovic defends. Shoupp moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Stijakovic is not content to let Shoupp control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stijakovic is bucking up trying to escape but Shoupp cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Stijakovic is trying desperately to improve position. Shoupp lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
A big strike lands for Shoupp! That's really hurt Stijakovic and he's turned his back - Shoupp keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Shoupp jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Issa has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Slevin is landing a low percentage of strikes. Slevin keeps the fight on the outside. Slevin on the wrong end of a nice jab. Issa shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Slevin defends it nicely. Slevin throws a right and a left that both miss. Issa shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Slevin throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Slevin looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Nice takedown defense from Slevin. No joy for Issa on that attempt. Issa ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Slevin moves away. Issa tries a head kick but it misses.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Issa lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Slevin has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Slevin and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Slevin displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Slevin keeps the fight on the outside. A telegraphed right hand from Issa misses the target.
