Kickstart My Heart kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Dogg shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Dogg is looking for a kimura but Fola is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dogg to get the leverage.

Dogg is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Fola sees it coming and defends easily.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Dogg working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Terrance Hendershot.

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Max Handle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominik Robillard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Handle might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Right On. Robillard has chosen Orelsan - Bada Bing as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Todd lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kootz doesn't seem phased though.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kootz, as that shot connected.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Roman enables Flodder to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Roman manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Flodder wants to control from the top but Roman keeps moving.

Roman has his foot on Flodder's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Flodder works his way back into a safe position though.
Roman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Flodder. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
