The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Petrenko misses the target. Petrenko tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Petrenko misses with a straight left. Ontario chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Ontario really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Ontario moves out of range of the strikes. Ontario fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Petrenko. Ontario lands a nice looking kick to the body. Petrenko takes a step back to recover. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Shawcross has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Kaz misses with a body shot.

Obsut tries to free his leg and advance position but Fu is retaining full guard. Obsut throws a big elbow that misses. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Fu is pulling down on Obsut's head to control his posture.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Obsut fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Fedor Obsut. Well Obsut has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pinkman goes for a double leg but Troc avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Troc continues to drive forward. A quick uppercut on the inside from Troc. Troc throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Troc misses with a punch to the body.

It looks like Jesse Pinkman has been cut. Pinkman drops down looking for an ankle pick but Troc pulls his leg out and moves away.
Trang Troc has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jesse Pinkman. Troc throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Pinkman looks to throw the jab but Troc is out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. and Pinkman counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Troc slips under a jab. Troc throws a head kick but Pinkman moves out of range.
Pinkman circles away from the clinch attempt and Pinkman counters with a three punch combo that has Troc backing up. Troc nods at Pinkman to acknowledge the strikes. Pinkman shoots in but no luck this time.

Troc keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Pinkman fails with a takedown attempt. Pinkman throws a nice looking combination but Troc bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Those never looked like landing. Pinkman shoots in for a double leg but Troc sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Troc tries to move into range but Pinkman moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Troc throws a knee to the head but misses.

Pinkman tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Troc is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Pinkman buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Pinkman!! Pinkman is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Troc throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Congo has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.
