 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Souza smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. A punch combination from Souza misses. Souza gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Lopez counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Lopez stalling against the ropes.
Lopez receives a warning from the referee for stalling. Souza wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Souza tries to break free but Lopez pushes him back against the ropes.
Lopez lands a takedown into guard.
Souza is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Souza is adopting a defensive guard. Souza bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lopez's guard.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Lopez keeping moving, preventing Souza from controlling successfully. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Souza passes easily into side control. Nice work. Souza misses with the ground and pound. Lopez tries to improve position but can't. Lopez sneaks back into half guard. Souza passes to side control. Souza controls the position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Lopez is trying to get back to his feet. Souza tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Lopez tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Souza wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Lopez is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Lopez is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Souza is looking to advance position but Lopez won't allow it. Lopez is staying active underneath Souza, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

17 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nick James! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Liddell stuffs the takedown. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that James has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. James moves out of range of the leg kick from Liddell. James throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Liddell dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on James. That did some damage! Liddell tries to clinch there but James circles away.
Liddell knocks James to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?
 James is rocked!
 It looks like Nick James has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! James is trying to get back to half guard. James is trying to control Liddell's posture but Liddell avoids it. James is trying to improve his position. Liddell wants to control but James is keeping him busy.

James isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Liddell stacks James on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Liddell! And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Nick James showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Nick James's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!

and Liddell counters with a series of strikes. James will be more careful next time no doubt. Chuck Liddell is winning the standup battle so far. Liddell shoots for a double leg takedown but James sprawls well. He's pushed Liddell's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Liddell throws a head kick that misses. Liddell fails with a takedown attempt. Liddell shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and James counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chuck Liddell. That's going to take a lot out of him. James tries to pass to full mount but Liddell defends it.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Liddell sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed James's guard. James is staying active underneath Liddell, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Liddell is thwarting James's attempts to control the position. Liddell working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Gracie's coach down at Elite Fighting Temple was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Gracie's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Williams tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gracie wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. You can see the frustration on Williams 's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Williams is trying to get back to half guard. Williams wants to control but Gracie postures up.

We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Williams tries to get out of the position. Williams prevents Gracie from moving into mount.

Gracie stands up from mount. Strange move. Gracie misses with a takedown enabling Williams to counter with a crisp jab. Williams uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Gracie has time to react. Gracie walks into a straight right hand from Williams . Williams works Gracie's body with a nice hook. Williams lands with a nice body punch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A big left from Williams misses. Michael Carter Williams is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Gracie misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Michael Carter Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gustavo Gracie. Williams lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Gracie wants to clinch up but Williams keeps it at a distance. Williams jabs Gracie to the body, keeping him at a distance.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Gracies jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Williams lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Williams rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gracie moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Gracie looks for a takedown but Williams sprawls well. Woodley shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Perez napping and manages to drive through into side control! Woodley in side control, throwing shots but Perez defends. Perez gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Woodley misses with a head shot. Woodley controlling from the full mount. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Woodley working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Perez is bucking up trying to escape but Woodley cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Woodley has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Woodley throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Woodley looking to ground and pound but Perez is blocking nicely. Woodley putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

11 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Lewis Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 16 - 1, fighting out of London, Payton Wright! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee ducks under a wild hook from Wright. Lee keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Lee throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've been informed that Wright has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Wright closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lee to the mat! Lee manages to get full guard. Lee has control of Wright's left arm, preventing Wright from doing any damage. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lee is on top in guard.
 We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lee is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
