and Ruffneck connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Laxus Thunder has been cut.
Thunder tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Ruffneck counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Ruffneck counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Thunder throws a left and a right that both miss
and Ruffneck counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Ruffneck cracks Thunder with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Thunder falls to his knees and Ruffneck doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between William Blake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derick Steve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blake comes to the cage accompanied by Dead Man. Steve has chosen Happy Day as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Derick Steve has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, William Blake!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Derick Steve!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Lou da Vinci and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blake swings for the body but Steve moves out of range.
A chopping leg kick lands by Steve.
Steve's coach down at GreatWall MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Steve's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Steve gets caught flat footed, as Blake shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Blake stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Steve swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Blake has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Steve wants to sweep here but Blake controlling him for the moment.
Blake is pushing down on Steve's leg trying to pass to half guard. Steve is fighting to maintain full guard but Blake has managed to sneak the leg through.

Steve is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Blake has latched onto it... Big trouble! Blake pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Steve is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Blake!
