Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, TikaKiyo Yoshiki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hades Destroyer! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yoshiki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Destroyer tries to avoid it but Yoshiki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Destroyer to the ground. Destroyer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Yoshiki throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Destroyer's waist but Destroyer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Yoshiki off to one side. Destroyer checks the leg kick nicely there.
Yoshiki misses with a takedown attempt and Destroyer counters with a single leg into guard. Yoshiki didn't expect that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for TikaKiyo Yoshiki. That's going to take a lot out of him. Destroyer throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Yoshiki works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Yoshiki pushes Destroyer off and gets back to his feet.
Yoshiki looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Yoshiki gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily so Destroyer counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Destroyer passes Yoshiki's left leg - he's now in half guard. Yoshiki has a hand on Destroyer's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Destroyer takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
That's one minute gone in the round. Destroyer moves to take his opponent's back. Yoshiki turns into Destroyer and is now in his guard.
Yoshiki throwing strikes but missing. Destroyer keeping moving, preventing Yoshiki from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yoshiki is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Destroyer is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Destroyer preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Destroyer has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Destroyer is continuing to stall. Yoshiki has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Destroyer utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Yoshiki trying to control but Destroyer is working from the bottom. Yoshiki looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Destroyer controlling Yoshiki's posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Destroyer preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Yoshiki wants to control from the top but Destroyer keeps moving.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Yoshiki closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Yoshiki lands in his opponent's guard. Yoshiki drops back, looking for a kneebar! Destroyer looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Destroyer looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Destroyer! You can see the frustration on Yoshiki's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yoshiki knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Destroyer on the ground. Yoshiki tries to bench press Destroyer off him but Destroyer keeps the position. Destroyer working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Destroyer advances nicely into full mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hades Destroyer dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

It looks like Hades Destroyer has been cut. Yoshiki goes for a double leg but Destroyer avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Destroyer continues to drive forward. Yoshiki trying to stall but Destroyer improves his position.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Yoshiki. Yoshiki with a lazy takedown attempt and Destroyer counters with a shoot takedown. Yoshiki fights it but they end up in guard. Destroyer forces his way into half guard. Yoshiki trying to control from the bottom.
Destroyer works his foot free and advances to mount. Yoshiki wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Destroyer looking for a guillotine from mount but Yoshiki is having none of it. Yoshiki throwing hammer fists to the chest of Destroyer. What's that going to do exactly? Destroyer fails to advance to Yoshiki's back. Yoshiki has given up his back here.
Yoshiki is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Destroyer gets his way!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Yoshiki breaks Destroyer's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Hades Destroyer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Hades Destroyer's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Destroyer presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Yoshiki tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Destroyer avoids it. Yoshiki breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Yoshiki with a poor takedown and Destroyer counters with a shoot takedown. Yoshiki fights it but they end up in guard. Yoshiki is looking to stand back up but Destroyer counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Yoshiki. Destroyer is pressing down on Yoshiki's thigh, looking to free his foot. Yoshiki wants to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Destroyer wants to control but Yoshiki is keeping him busy. Hades Destroyer has got the better of the ground game so far. Yoshiki pushes Destroyer off looking to stand but Destroyer dives back in and keeps control.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stanson lunges at Mott with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Mott's hand. Stanson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mott. Mott stuffs the takedown attempt from Stanson. Stanson gets slowly back to his feet. Mott misses the jab. Mott throws out a leg kick but Stanson moves out of range and Mott only half commits. Stanson looks for a takedown but Mott sprawls well. Stanson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mott pinned against the cage. Mott gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Juan Mott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Musial Stanson. Stanson fails with the takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ballantine misses the shot to the body. Ballantine loads up on a big right hand but Lin slips the punch. We've been informed that Ballantine has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Lin shoots in looking for a takedown but Ballantine manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Ballantine misses with a low kick as Lin jumps back. Lin lands a nice looking kick to the body. Ballantine takes a step back to recover. Lin lands with an overhand left. Ballantine misses with a combination
and Lin counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Ballantine misses with a few strikes there.

It looks like Bill Ballantine has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lin looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Ping Lin opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Al Abulbul working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Al Abulbul thows a huge punch but Kingston dodges it nicely.

Kingston has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zeus feints a jab promting Kilju to slip. Zeus then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kilju slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Zeus lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Zeus throws a head kick that misses. Zeus lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Nice body kick there by Zeus. Zeus finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Kilju shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Zeus lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Kilju shoots in but Zeus avoids the takedown attempt easily. Zeus scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Zeus throws a hook but Kilju blocks it. Aiko Zeus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zeus throws a hook but Kilju avoids it easily. Zeus lands with a nice body kick. Zeus connects with an inside leg kick. Zeus throws a head kick but Kilju moves out of range.
Kilju on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Kilju seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zeus goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Kilju walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Kilju has managed to clinch.
Kilju gets control of Zeus's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kilju will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Zeus wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Kilju's closed guard. He's half up but Kilju has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Kilju pivots and extends the arm, Zeus falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Kilju! Well done that man!

Fairchild bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Sobrante bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fairchild's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sobrante is looking to work some ground and pound but Fairchild has wrist control. Sobrante drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sobrante jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Fairchild wants to sweep here but Sobrante controlling him for the moment. Fairchild lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scissorhands finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Scissorhands pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Bariga was done - good stoppage!
