The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
zavos looks for a takedown but Ali sprawls well.

Ali swats away the attempt to clinch by zavos.
zavos is looking to clinch but Ali is avoiding it.
zavos tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ali paws at him with a jab and circles away.
zavos wants to clinch.

zavos is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ali.

It looks like haki zavos has been cut.
zavos shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ali sprawls well. Ali wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. zavos gets slowly back to his feet.
zavos will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Hazan Ali has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of haki zavos.
Ali lands a nice hook to zavos's body. zavos takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Ali throws a series of punches but zavos moves out of range.
Ali closes the distance and lands a one-two.
zavos takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Ali connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between zavos's hands.
Ali lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - zavos can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Ali and zavos drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Ali.
