3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Razer Knife! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Reed Andrews and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knife has taken the fight to the clinch.
Fletcher wants a takedown but no success here.
Fletcher has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Knife after a bit of a struggle. Fletcher is looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jock Fletcher. That's going to take a lot out of him. Knife tries for a takedown. No joy.
Knife changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Fletcher fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Fletcher drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Fletcher sitting in guard here, content to control. Fletcher seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Knife for as long as he can get away with. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fletcher shoots in looking for a takedown but Knife manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fletcher's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Fletcher shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Fletcher showed some decent athleticism there. Fletcher looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fletcher wants to pass the guard but Knife is defending well. Fletcher seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Knife has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fletcher is working away from the top position though. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Fletcher sitting and controlling from the half guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A momentary lapse in concentration from Knife enables Fletcher to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Knife manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Fletcher's corner is telling him to maintain position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fletcher tries for a takedown but Knife sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Knife decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Fletcher is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Fletcher is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Jock Fletcher overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Fletcher is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Knife can do to turn this around? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Knife is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fletcher is just riding it out for now. Knife eventually gives up the hold. Fletcher is pressing down on Knife's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Fletcher with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Fletcher thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Fletcher throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Well, if Fletcher is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Fletcher tries to move to mount but Knife blocks the move with his legs. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Knife is trying to escape the position but Fletcher is controlling the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Fletcher closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Fletcher works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Knife tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fletcher wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Fletcher remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Fletcher working the body and head with strikes. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Knife is trying to escape the position but Fletcher is controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fletcher's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Knife takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

and Harris holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Harris blocks an elbow strike. Harris blocks the elbow strike.

Harris manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Harris has Hakob pulled in close to control his posture. Hakob throws a big elbow that misses. Harris wants to get back to his feet but Hakob is in a dominant position and won't allow it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hakob is looking to pass into half guard but Harris pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Harris is in guard. Harris slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Harris uses his free foot to push down on Hakob's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hakob. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Harris content just to control the position here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Harris is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Hakob has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Gunner Harris dominated that round. The cut man is working on Daniel Hakob's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Hakob throws a hook to the side of Harris's head but Harris sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Harris has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hakob moves into the clinch. Hakob lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Hakob creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Harris pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Harris shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hakob as he jumps to the side. Harris has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Hakob is landing a low percentage of strikes. Harris misses with a series of wild punches.

Harris controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Hakob preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Cartmen takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Cartmen is trying to maintain a safe position but Reign gets an underhook and turns Cartmen into the cage. Cartmen tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Reign's elbow. Nguyen ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Nguyen misses with a wild body shot. Nguyen throws a series of punches but Erikksen avoids them all with ease. Erikksen slips under a jab. Nguyen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Erikksen. Erikksen swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A jab from Nguyen finds it's way through Erikksen's defenses. Nguyen might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Erikksen on the wrong end of a nice hook. Nguyen shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Erikksen eats them both and turns towards Nguyen to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Erikksen throws a monster overhand right that drops Nguyen! Erikksen follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

Grant seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. He's simply no match for Grant on the ground. Grant is thwarting White's attempts to control the position. Grant seems to be working for a kimura but White defends the submission attempt. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thrawn misses with a right hand and Spliff counters with a head kick. That will keep Thrawn thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Spliff rushes Thrawn and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. A short right from Spliff on the inside. Thrawn throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Athan Stamatis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michal Tarnowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stamatis comes to the cage accompanied by Lose Yourself. Tarnowski has chosen Hemp Gru - Sami swoi as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Michal Tarnowski told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!
