The bell rings for round one and we are underway! cyrex walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
It looks like jon cyrex has been cut. cyrex takes one to the chin there. A slow jab from Svensson misses its intended target. cyrex throws a one two combo.
cyrex tries to move into range but Svensson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Svensson misses with a series of wild punches.
cyrex has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from cyrex there as he acknowledges the shot. Svensson lands a big right hand that sends cyrex crashing to the mat! Svensson stays standing though and waves cyrex back to his feet!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Armageddon misses with a two punch combination.

Armageddon misses the shot to the body. Dred swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Dred fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Armageddon manages to avoid it. Armageddon tries to close the distance and clinch but Dred swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Armageddon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dred. Dred connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Armageddon bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Dred fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Armageddon checks it well. Dred takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Dred throws a sloppy head kick and Armageddon counters with a series of strikes. Dred will be more careful next time no doubt. Dred throws a combination. Armageddon tries to block but a couple of punches get through. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dred drops Armageddon with a big left hand and mounts him. Armageddon is in big trouble! Oh Armageddon is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Dred gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! This has been an exciting period of action! Armageddon misses the body punch and Dred counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Armageddon down! Dred is looking to finish but Armageddon is intelligently defending himself. Armageddon keeping full guard, as Dred tries to pass. Dred must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dred is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Armageddon seems to have got his legs back now.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Dred tries to stand but Armageddon is controlling from the bottom. Dred is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Armageddon is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Armageddon has escaped and now he's on top! Armageddon passes into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Armageddon wants to control but Dred is keeping him busy. Dred pushes Armageddon off looking to stand but Armageddon dives back in and keeps control.

Armageddon is looking to advance position but Dred won't allow it. Armageddon is keen to just control but Dred is a slippery customer. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Dred throws a body kick that misses. Armageddon throws a push kick but Dred slaps the foot to one side. Good work by Armageddon as he checks the leg kick. Dred finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
