The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lewis moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like Rami Kottari has been cut. Kottari throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Lewis throws out a loose jab but Kottari uses good head movement to avoid it. Kottari avoids the head kick by Lewis.
Kottari throws a body shot but no joy. Lewis throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kottari counters with a takedown into side control. Kottari lands a decent elbow from side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kottari throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Lewis tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Kottari scores with punches from the back.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vengrio swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A big left from Vengrio misses. Vengrio cracks Hytten with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. A thudding body kick lands there by Hytten!

Vengrio throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hytten. Vengrio tries to bum rush Hytten with a series of wild strikes but Hytten uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Hytten keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

That was a close round but I would say that Kent Hytten will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Arthur Vengrio's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hulahula shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Velasquez sprawls well. Velasquez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hulahula gets slowly back to his feet. Velasquez darts in looking for a takedown but Hulahula gets double underhooks and turns Velasquez into the cage. Velasquez drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Velasquez is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Hulahula is defending well. Heimo Hulahula has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cain Velasquez. Hulahula misses with the head strike.

Velasquez is fighting off a takedown attempt but Hulahula is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Velasquez to the mat. Velasquez regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Velasquez kicks Hulahula off and gets to his feet. Hulahula fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Velasquez to the ground. Hulahula is now in Velasquez's guard. Velasquez tries to land a sweep but no joy. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hulahula not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Hulahula stays in close to Velasquez's body and controls the position. Hulahula trying to control but Velasquez is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hulahula controlling from the top position. Velasquez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Darkim is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Boets defends it well. Darkim takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Darkim tries to move into range but Boets moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sloppy strikes from Boets. Those never looked like landing. Boets will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Boykiy thumps Cannon with a low kick. Boykiy tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cannon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Cannon looks to land a left hand but Boykiy moved out of range nicely. Boykiy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cannon swats him away and circles back towards the center. Boykiy misses with a hook. Cannon ducked under it nicely. Boykiy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Boykiy drops Cannon with a beautiful combination! Cannon stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Boykiy is looking for the KO!
