13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kaz Yago! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yago drops Pen with a left right combo! Yago follows him down to the ground into side control.
Pen is rocked!
It looks like Gregory Pen has been cut. Yago thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Oh Pen is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Yago is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Pen has escaped the position, nice work there. Pen seems to have got his legs back now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Yago goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Pen rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Yago's guard! Nice work there by Pen! Yago throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Pen is looking to stand up but Yago won't let him. Yago looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Yago lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yago trying to control but Pen is working from the bottom. Pen is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yago trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Yago is still trying to improve position. Yago slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Yago looking to pass the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Yago trying to control but Pen is working from the bottom. Pen is looking to stand up but Yago isn't so interested in that idea. Pen has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Yago is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Yago tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Pen just stands there and leans against the cage. Yago working hard to break the clinch. Pen tries a body shot but Yago blocks it.

Gregory Pen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kaz Yago. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Pen lands a nice elbow.
It looks like Kaz Yago has been cut. Pen tries to work over Yago's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Yago tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Pen just stands there and leans against the cage. Pen tries to throw a body punch but Yago avoids it by throwing Pen back against the cage. A short right from Pen on the inside. Pen has Yago pressed against the cage, preventing Yago from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pen misses with a punch to the body.
Yago jumps guard but Pen stands there with Yago around his waist. Yago gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Pen keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Yago's efforts to push away. A head punch on the inside from Pen fails to land. Pen using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Yago has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Pen pushes off an throws an elbow but Yago leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Our sources have told us that Pen has been working on his elbows in the gym. Yago fails to pull guard.

Yago is working an open guard so Pen takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Yago shoots for a takedown but Pen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Yago throws the left hand but Pen avoids the punch easily. Yago on the wrong end of a nice jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yago throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Yago looks to land a left hand but Pen moved out of range nicely. Pen steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Yago. Yago is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Pen moves out of range as Yago strikes. Yago shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pen pinned against the cage. Pen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Pen steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Yago. Yago scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Yago rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pen moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Pen uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Yago. Pen looks for the body kick but Yago saw that one coming. Pen lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Pen bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Kaz Yago will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

A lazy left from Yago finds it's target. Yago looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Yago misses with an uppercut. Pen saw that one coming. Pen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Yago.
Pen throws a right hand that Yago ducks under and follows up with a left that Yago also avoids with ease. Pen pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Yago throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Yago takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Yago throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pen throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Yago throws a looping overhand right but Pen ducks down to avoid it. Kaz Yago seems to be getting the better of the standup. A jab lands there for Yago. BOOM! Yago lands a beautiful left hook that drops Pen. Pen tries to recover but Yago is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Pen lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kii checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Henderson slips a jab from Kii. The fighters circle momentarily. Henderson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Kii throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kii misses with an uppercut. Kii gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Kii tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. The fighters circling - Henderson throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Henderson misses with a series of wild punches.

Kii is looking to slow Henderson down with leg kicks. Henderson throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Henderson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

That's one minute gone in the round. Henderson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Henderson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kii. Kii smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Henderson keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Henderson throws a hook to the side of Kii's head but Kii sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Henderson throws a shot to the body.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kii, as that shot connected.
Henderson thows a left - swing and a miss! Good exchange - Kii coming out on top. Henderson digs a good body shot into Kii's ribs. Henderson cracks Kii with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Some wild striking there from Henderson.
Henderson slips a straight right by Kii. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kii throws a solid leg kick but Henderson takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kii. Henderson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kii. A slow jab from Henderson misses its intended target. Henderson's coach down at Men of Mayhem (1 TPL, 6 DBL, 5 SGL)(55 member cap) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Henderson's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

A looping hook to the body misses from Kii. Henderson does a little dance to reset his feet. Henderson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Kii avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kii misses with a straight left. Kii scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Kii throws a body punch but Henderson moves out of range. Jordan Henderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Henderson fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kii checks it well. Henderson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Kii takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Henderson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kii. Kii staying out of range there. Kii throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Kii bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Jab by Henderson. Henderson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Kii! This has been an exciting period of action! What's Kii going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle. Henderson wants to control but Kii is keeping him busy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Henderson decides to stand back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Henderson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Kii moves out of range as Henderson strikes. Henderson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kii lands a nice hook to Henderson's body. Henderson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Kii will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nice uppercut lands for Henderson. That snapped Kii's head back.

Henderson drives through with a takedown into Kii's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Henderson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kii has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Henderson has managed to get both his arms back between Kii's legs - danger averted. Kii has his hands on Henderson's head, controlling the position. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kii working a defensive guard here.

Jordan Henderson dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Nice cross by Henderson. Kii missing with a left hand there. Henderson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Kii misses the jab. Kii connects with a jab. Henderson misses with a looping right. Henderson scores with a nice right hand.
Henderson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Henderson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kii did well to prevent Henderson getting side control. Kii wants to get back to full guard. Henderson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Kii is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Kii tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Henderson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Henderson is staying tight to Kii's torso, preventing him from escaping. Kii manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Kii lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Henderson lands with an uppercut that bounces Kii off the cage and back into range. Henderson drives through with a takedown into guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kii keeping moving, preventing Henderson from controlling successfully.

Kii working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Henderson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Henderson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Henderson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Suu Kii has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Henderson throws an elbow that misses. Kii uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Henderson's guard. Nice move by Kii! Henderson looking to control.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Suu Kii. I think Henderson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Balboa takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Balboa throws a nice looking combination but Barbossa bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Balboa takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

A combination from Balboa does no damage. Barbossa looks to land a combination. Balboa sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Balboa shoots in for a double leg but Barbossa sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Barbossa cracks Balboa with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Barbossa has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Balboa to stand back up!

Rocky Balboa's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Balboa pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Oh Balboa is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Barbossa connects with a stiff jab that staggers Balboa - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brandon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Brandon throws a body shot but no joy. Nice takedown defense from Brandon. No joy for Sandwich on that attempt. Sandwich shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brandon but Brandon pushes him off and we're back to square one. Brandon wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Brandon drops Sandwich with a beautiful combination! Sandwich stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Brandon is looking for the KO!

That sent Abdullah stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Rahkim Abdullah overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Abdullah's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Abdullah trying to control but Belson is working from the bottom. Abdullah stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Belson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Belson controls Abdullah momentarily but Abdullah frees himself.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Belson stuffs the takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A lazy left from Belson finds it's target. Abdullah has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rahkim Abdullah. That's going to take a lot out of him. Abdullah with a lazy takedown attempt and Belson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Belson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Abdullah dives on top into guard. Abdullah is looking to work some ground and pound but Belson has wrist control. Belson looking to control but Abdullah passes into half guard.

Abdullah is looking to pass Belson's guard but actually Belson recovers to full guard. Abdullah trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Jarik Belson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Belson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Flagg wants to clinch. Flagg on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Flagg jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Aragon looks for the body kick but Flagg saw that one coming. Flagg swings for the body but Aragon moves out of range.

Aragon gets through Flagg's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Aragon shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Flagg takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Both fighters circling a little - Aragon finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Aragon goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Flagg scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Flagg is positioning himself well to prevent Aragon advancing to mount.

Aragon thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Aragon throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Flagg slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Aragon with a nice head shot there. Aragon stands up over Flagg, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Flagg utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
