0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ian Kinks! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kinks is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bradley's half guard. Bradley trying to hold on to Kinks's head to control him but Kinks postures up.
Kinks trying to pass the guard but Bradley defending well. Kinks looks gassed! Bradley is holding on to half guard well. Bradley is trying to control but can't.
Bradley is doing well to control the position and prevent Kinks from advancing to side control. Kinks is looking to stall here but Bradley recovers full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kinks wants to control from the top but Bradley keeps moving. Bradley looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Bradley keeping moving, preventing Kinks from controlling successfully. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Kinksis looking to pass into half guard but Bradley pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Bradley is in guard.

No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kinks tries to clinch but Bradley is having none of it.

That's going to take a lot out of Ian Kinks. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kinks throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Bradley escapes and throws Kinks's legs to the side, diving into side control! Bradley is working Kinks over with some ground and pound from side control. Bradley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kinks keeps working. Kinks tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bradley wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kinks wants to control but Bradley postures up. Bradley decides to take the fight back to the feet. Bradley shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Kinks wants to control but Bradley is having none of it. Kinks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bradley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kinks can't escape the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bradley controlling the position easily from mount. Kinks really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Kinks rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bradley moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bradley tries for a takedown but Kinks sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kinks closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bradley did well to prevent Kinks getting side control. Kinks prevents Bradley from improving his position. Bradley regains full guard. Nicely done. Kinks trying to control the position from guard on top but Bradley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bradley is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kinks is aware though and is defending well. Bradley looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kinks trying to control but Bradley is working from the bottom. Bradley will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Kinks tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Bradley with a poor takedown and Kinks decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bradley's guard. Kinks must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Bradley trying to control the position.

It looks like he's just sitting there. Kinks is trying to stand up here but Bradley is controlling him well. Bradley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kinks keeps working.

Nevland tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kazan just stands there and leans against the cage. Kazan with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Nevland should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Kazan lands with a kick to the temple. Nevland shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Nevland avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Nevland shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. You get the feeling that Kazan really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Kazan is breathing heavily. Nevland goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Kazan is on top in guard.

Waddy is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Eagle wants to pass the guard but Waddy is keeping the position. Eagle passes Waddy's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Eagle throwing shots but Waddy is blocking nicely. Waddy actively working from the bottom here. Waddy is staying active underneath Eagle, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Matt Waddy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Eagle is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Waddy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Eagle is just riding it out for now. Waddy eventually gives up the hold. Eagle is trying to stand up here but Waddy is controlling him well.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Matt Waddy. I think Waddy has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Samy Diabate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teru Mikami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mikami has chosen Sakujo as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Teru Mikami told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!
