The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brandon steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Machine. Brandon steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Machine. Machine misses with a straight left. A big right from Brandon misses. Machine throws a jab when Brandon was well out of range. Machine connects with a jab. Machine misses with an uppercut. Brandon saw that one coming. Brandon throws a one two combo.

Machine throws a hook to the side of Brandon's head but Brandon sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Machine uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Brandon. Brandon slips under a jab from Machine. Brandon throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Brandon has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Death Valley Training Facility in the buildup to the fight. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Machine shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Machine has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Machine scores with a sloppy right hand. Brandon should have avoided that one. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Machine uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Brandon. Machine connects with a looping right hand.
Machine might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. A big right from Machine misses. A swing and a miss from Brandon. Machine ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Brandon catches Machine with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Machine uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Brandon. Machine is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Brandon. Machine with a hook. Machine throws a jab when Brandon was well out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Machine swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Brandon takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Machine keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Brandon. Brandon misses with a hook. Nice shot lands for Brandon. Brandon scores with a nice head shot. Brandon is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Brandon throws a nice looking combination but Machine bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Machine throws a looping overhand right but Brandon ducks down to avoid it. Brandon misses with a few strikes there.
Machine rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brandon moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Machine throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Brandon sees it coming and avoids it easily. This has been an exciting period of action! Machine pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Machine tries to bum rush Brandon with a series of wild strikes but Brandon uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Machine throws a jab but it's blocked by Brandon. Machine uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Brandon. Brandon looks to land a right hand but Machine moved out of range. Machine connects with a single shot there. Brandon scores with a jab to the jaw. Brandon blocks a jab. Brandon throws a hook but Machine avoids it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brandon slips under a jab from Machine. Machine takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Brandon drops his hands momentarily and Machine takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Machine throws a jab when Brandon was well out of range. Brandon takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Brandon steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Machine. A slow jab from Machine misses its intended target. Machine lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Brandon backs up against the cage.
Brandon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Machine moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Machine dips to his left and cracks Brandon with an uppercut! Brandon lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
A punch combination from Brandon misses. Brandon showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Machine.
Machine is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Brandon had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Brandon scores with a nice strike. Machine with a nice cross. Machine scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Brandon connects with a single shot there. Brandon lands a big uppercut and Machine crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Machine looks OK. Brandon waves Machine back to his feet!
Machine is rocked! Machine fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Brandon on the side of the head. Machine is still on wobbly legs! Can Brandon finish him? Machine thows a left - swing and a miss! Brandon flashes Machine a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Machine's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Machine crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Brandon punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!

It looks like Han Solo Berger has been cut. Collins jabs Berger right on the nose. Berger blinks but takes it well. Collins scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Berger lands with an overhand left. Collins misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Collins throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Berger on the side of the head. Berger thows a left - swing and a miss! A slow jab from Collins misses its intended target. Collins throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Collins throws a head kick that misses. Berger misses with an uppercut. Collins saw that one coming. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Berger ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Berger takes a shot right to the bread basket. Berger lands a nice shot to the body.

Collins ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Berger motions for Collins to come forward. Berger throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Berger. Collins scores with a crisp jab that stopped Berger in his tracks. Collins looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Berger fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Collins manages to avoid it. Berger tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Collins has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Collins there as he acknowledges the shot. Berger blocks a low kick nicely. Berger scores with a leg kick.
The fighters circling - Collins throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Collins throws a hook but Berger blocks it. Berger fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Collins looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Berger throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Berger throws a push kick but Collins slaps the foot to one side. Berger is looking to land body kicks. Berger looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. A nice leg kick lands there from Collins. Collins throws a head kick that misses. Berger scores with a push kick. Collins thows a left - swing and a miss! Berger throws a body shot but no joy. Berger tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Collins is able to avoid easily. Collins looks to throw the jab but Berger is out of range. Berger throws a low kick but it's checked well by Collins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lopez drives through with a takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lopez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lopez is working hard here to advance position. Lopez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Lopez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sansing swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lopez drops back looking for a leg! Sansing is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sansing manages to kick Lopez off! Lopez jumps back into Sansing's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sansing is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lopez is aware though and is defending well.

Sansing is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lopez defends well. Lopez slips nicely into half guard.

Sansing bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lopez's guard.

Lopez is looking to get back to full guard here but Sansing has managed to pass to side control instead. Sansing works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Lopez sneaks back into half guard. Lopez keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Sansing uses his free foot to push down on Lopez's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Lopez.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lopez wants to control but Sansing is having none of it. Lopez regains half guard. Sansing prevents Lopez from improving his position. Lopez actively working from the bottom here. Lopez regains full guard. Nicely done. Lopez is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sansing defends well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sansing stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lopez swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lopez has his foot on Sansing's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sansing works his way back into a safe position though. Lopez working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Sansing. Sansing working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Lopez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sansing doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sansing manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Sansing got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lopez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sansing has managed to get both his arms back between Lopez's legs - danger averted. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lopez had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sansing defends it easily. Lopez is trying to control the position from the bottom.
