1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jorge Masvidal! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Masvidal rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shmitt moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Masvidal throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Masvidal scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
It looks like Johnny Shmitt has been cut. Masvidal misses with a jab, cross combination.
Shmitt is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Shmitt looks for a takedown but Masvidal sprawls well. Masvidal throws a shot from downtown. Shmitt moves away and avoids it. Masvidal avoids a punch combination nicely.
Masvidal misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Masvidal rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shmitt moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Masvidal tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Shmitt paws at him with a jab and circles away. Masvidal displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Shmitt. Masvidal misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Shmitt.

Masvidal is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Masvidal gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Shmitt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Shmitt. That's going to take a lot out of him. Masvidal lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Shmitt is rocked! Masvidal pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Shmitt looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Shmitt slips a jab and a cross from Masvidal.
Shmitt shoots in but Masvidal avoids the takedown attempt easily. Masvidal thows a body shot but no joy. A combination from Masvidal does no damage. Masvidal misses with a two punch combination.
Shmitt fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Jorge Masvidal is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Shmitt takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Masvidal scores with a jab to the body. Shmitt is breathing heavily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shmitt tries to bum rush Masvidal with a series of wild strikes but Masvidal uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Masvidal lands a slapping body shot.

Masvidal scores with a shot to the side of Shmitt's head. Masvidal is working Shmitt over against the cage. Masvidal's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. That's three minutes gone in the round. Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Masvidal engages and cracks Shmitt with a massive lead left hook - Shmitt tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Masvidal is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burroughs throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A nice combination there by Rizzo.
It looks like Xander Burroughs has been cut. Rizzo checks a low kick from Burroughs. Burroughs avoids the body shot from Rizzo.
Burroughs checks a low kick from Rizzo. Burroughs takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Burroughs tries to close the distance and clinch but Rizzo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Burroughs wants to clinch. Burroughs fails in his attempt to clinch. Rizzo connects with a body shot. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Burroughs tries to clinch up but Rizzo circles away and keeps his distance. Burroughs shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Burroughs trying to pass the guard but Rizzo defending well.

Rizzo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Burroughs is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Rizzo is trying to maintain the position but Burroughs is very close to passing his half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Burroughs is trying to control the action in half guard but Rizzo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Rizzo takes a swing at Burroughs's ribcage but misses. Rizzo swings for the body but Burroughs moves out of range.
Rizzo lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Burroughs backs up against the cage.
Burroughs on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Burroughs looks gassed! Rizzo throws a right and a left that both miss. Rizzo scores a takedown into full mount! Rizzo working away from the top, dropping strikes. Burroughs tries to lock up and control but Rizzo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rizzo trying to control but Burroughs is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rizzo has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Burroughs's face.
Burroughs is trying desperately to improve position. Rizzo sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Rizzo thowing shots but they're missing. Rizzo is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Burroughs has managed to escape the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rizzo jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Burroughs is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Burroughs and Rizzo has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Rizzo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Burroughs is looking to reverse the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mauricio Rizzo dominated that round. The cut man is working on Xander Burroughs's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Burroughs misses the shot to the body. Burroughs tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rizzo swats him away and circles back towards the center. Rizzo misses with a body shot.
Rizzo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Burroughs shoots in but doesn't get the takedown enabling Rizzo to counter with a crisp jab. Mauricio Rizzo is winning the standup battle so far. Burroughs darts in trying to clinch and Rizzo counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Burroughs is lucky that one didn't land flush. Rizzo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rizzo has his takedown stuffed and Burroughs counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Rizzo's guard now. Rizzo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Burroughs! Burroughs is trying to escape the mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rizzo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Burroughs is looking to escape. Rizzo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Rizzo is landing with some decent strikes but Burroughs is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Rizzo throwing strikes here but Burroughs is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Burroughs is squirming around, avoiding Rizzo's attempts to control the action. Burroughs defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Rizzo. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Burroughs tries to lock up and control but Rizzo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Burroughs really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Burroughs is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Burroughs takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rizzo lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Rizzo sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Burroughs blocking the ground and pound. Rizzo looking to finish with strikes here!
Burroughs is working to get back to half guard.
Mauricio Rizzo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Burroughs really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rizzo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Burroughs holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Rizzo tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burroughs is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Rizzo is working for a guillotine from mount but Burroughs frees his head quite easily.
Rizzo has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Burroughs is forced to tap!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Howard shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Audet sprawls well. Audet wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Howard gets slowly back to his feet. Audet rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Howard moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Audet throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Malik Howard has been cut. A head kick by Audet - that's a beauty! Howard is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Audet can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Frederman lands with a shot to the body. Frederman lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Hart is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Frederman's half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hart trying to control from Frederman's half guard. Frederman has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Frederman controls Hart momentarily but Hart frees himself. Hart trying to control the position from guard on top but Frederman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hart has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Frederman is proving hard to escape from.
That's one minute gone in the round. Frederman pulls Hart in close to prevent any damage. Hart slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Frederman manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Hart trying to control from half guard but Frederman is working away. Hart seems to be looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hart decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Hart checks the leg kick. Hart throws a head kick but Frederman moves out of range.
Frederman dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Hart is breathing heavily. Frederman misses with a low kick as Hart jumps back. Frederman scores with a shot to the body.
Hart fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Frederman avoids it really well and circles away. Frederman throws a nice outside leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Frederman connects with a right hand. Hart shakes it off. Frederman closes the distance and clinches. Frederman comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
It looks like Chris Hart has been cut. Frederman works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Frederman lands a hook that snaps the head of Hart backwards. Frederman lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Frederman softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Frederman lands a left hand.
Frederman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Frederman fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hart takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Frederman feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hart sprawling to the canvas! Hart rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Frederman finish him?!
Hart is rocked!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Frederman scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Hart fails with a takedown attempt. Hart takes one to the chin there. Oh Hart is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Frederman cracks Hart with a left hook right on the temple and Hart goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Frederman lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Hart is OK!

Garvin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Garvin wants it to stay on the feet. Garvin with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Garvin throws a head kick that misses. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Garvin. Greason shrugs it off though. Willie Garvin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A jab from Garvin finds it's way through Greason's defenses. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A nice inside leg kick there by Garvin. That's going to slow Greason down. Greason looks gassed! Garvin connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Garvin lands a big head kick that sends Greason tumbling to the mat! Garvin takes a step backwards and waves Greason back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Greason is rocked! Garvin stuns Greason with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Greason is still on wobbly legs! Can Garvin finish him? Garvin lands a big head kick that sends Greason tumbling to the mat! Garvin takes a step backwards and waves Greason back to his feet - he wants the finish! Garvin fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Greason to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Greason looks to clinch but Garvin throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Greason taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Hart working the body and head with strikes. Hart cracks Dardy with a big right hand but Dardy just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

And that's the end of the fight! Bret Hart comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hart has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Troskot tries to clinch up but Marko circles away and keeps his distance. Marko misses with a jab, cross combination.
Marko's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Marko duly obliges. Marko lunges at Troskot with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Troskot's hand. Troskot is looking to clinch. Troskot clinches with his opponent.

Raymond has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Roy Palmer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Raymond controls Palmer momentarily but Palmer frees himself. Palmer throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Raymond works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Palmer trying to control the position from guard on top but Raymond is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Palmer dives in and grabs Raymond's left leg, looking for a takedown. Raymond pushes down on Palmer's head and hops out.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ben Raymond. I think Raymond has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
