Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cappie Ragnard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Travis Keller! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ragnard tries to score with a low kick but Keller moves his leg out of the way. Ragnard tries to clinch but Keller is having none of it. Nice defenses there by Ragnard. A looping hook to the body misses from Ragnard. Keller does a little dance to reset his feet. Keller throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Keller lands a nice hook to Ragnard's body. Ragnard takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Ragnard moves out of range of the strikes. Ragnard takes a body punch but keeps moving. Keller throws a lazy right hand but Ragnard sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Keller with a nice cross. Ragnard is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Keller. Ragnard shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Keller pinned against the cage. Keller gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's one minute gone in the round. A swing and a miss from Keller. Ragnard swings widly with a right hand
enabling Keller to counter with a crisp jab. Ragnard slips a straight right by Keller. Ragnard closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Keller quickly recovers to half guard. Ragnard looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Keller with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ragnard drops an elbow to the side of Keller's head. Ragnard is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Ragnard looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Keller keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Keller keeping hold of Ragnard's head, controlling as best he can. Keller has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ragnard is working away from the top position though. Keller tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Ragnard has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ragnard fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Ragnard thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Keller holds on to Ragnard as tight as he can, avoiding damage. Poor strikes thrown by Ragnard there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Keller really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ragnard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ragnard connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ragnard wants to control the pace but Keller is squirming around nicely. Keller wants to control but Ragnard is having none of it. Keller is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Ragnard is staying active. Ragnard controlling the pace for now. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ragnard trying to control but he's not successful this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cappie Ragnard dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Keller lands with a good body shot. Keller lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Ragnard at a distance.
Keller throws a body punch but Ragnard moves out of range. No luck for Ragnard with that takedown attempt. Keller fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Keller throws a shot to the body.

Keller digs a good body shot into Ragnard's ribs. Keller connects with a right hand. Ragnard shakes it off. Ragnard shoots in looking for a takedown but Keller manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ragnard's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Keller throws a lazy right hand but Ragnard sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Ragnard closes this distance looking for a takedown but Keller circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cappie Ragnard. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ragnard is looking to clinch. Keller scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Ragnard shoots in looking for a takedown but Keller manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ragnard's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Keller, as that shot connected.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Keller darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Ragnard tries to score a power double leg takedown but Keller sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ragnard somewhat. Keller has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Keller clobbers Ragnard with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Keller keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Ragnard misses with a wild body shot. Ragnard keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Keller.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ragnard tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Keller scores with a shot to the body.
Ragnard rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Ragnard takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Keller smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Ragnard walks into a stiff left hand from Keller.
Ragnard is rocked! Nice defenses there by Keller. Ragnard takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Oh Ragnard is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Keller swings for the body but Ragnard moves out of range.
Ragnard seems to have got his legs back now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ragnard misses with a leg kick and Keller makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Ragnard throws a right and a left that Keller avoids nicely. Keller lands with a cross. Keller misses with a looping right. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Keller connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Travis Keller is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nice straight punches there by Keller. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Keller. Keller fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Ragnard takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Jab, jab by Keller - just one landing. Keller dips down and scores with a jab to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Travis Keller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Ragnard misses with an uppercut. Keller misses with a looping left. Keller smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Ragnard takes a swing at Keller's ribcage but misses. Ragnard pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Keller scores with a shot to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ragnard shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Keller sprawls well. Keller wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ragnard gets slowly back to his feet. Ragnard takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Keller connects with the punch. Keller uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ragnard.
Ragnard looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Keller is fending him off so far but Ragnard persists. Nope, Keller circles away and we're back to standing. Ragnard bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Ragnard is looking to score with low kicks. Cappie Ragnard has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Good exchange - Keller coming out on top. Keller lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Keller lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Travis Keller seems to be getting the better of the standup. Ragnard misses with a body shot.
Keller scores with a decent looking hook. Keller lands with a straight right. Ragnard didn't see that one coming. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ragnard gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Keller cracks Ragnard with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Keller tests Ragnard's chin there with a solid looking shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ragnard throws a hook to the side of Keller's head but Keller sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A telegraphed right hand from Keller misses the target. Keller digs a good body shot into Ragnard's ribs. Decent striking displayed by Keller there. Ragnard takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Keller dips to his left and cracks Ragnard with an uppercut! Ragnard takes one on the button. Travis Keller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Keller moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ragnard takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Ragnard ducks right into an uppercut from Keller. Keller lands a right hook to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Keller displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ragnard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cappie Ragnard. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd cheers as Keller lands an impressive looking overhand right. Ragnard doesn't seem phased though. Travis Keller is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Keller scores with a jab to the jaw. Ragnard on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
A jab from Keller does it's job there.
And that's the end of the fight! Travis Keller comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Keller has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
