0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshi Takahoshi! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ginebra tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ginebra drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Takahoshi is letting Ginebra control him for a moment. Ginebra is putting a hurting on Takahoshi here, landing some big shots from side control. Ginebra taking a breather here.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jay ar Ginebra just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Ginebra misses with a takedown attempt - Takahoshi sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Ginebra fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Takahoshi sprawls well initially but Ginebra persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Ginebra is taking a breather. Takahoshi says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Takahoshi for as long as he can get away with. Takahoshi should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Ginebra has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Takahoshi leaves Ginebra with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Ginebra has a takedown stuffed. Takahoshi is fighting to maintain full guard but Ginebra has managed to sneak the leg through. Ginebra sitting and controlling from the half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Still in half guard, Ginebra seems content to control. Takahoshi tries to kick Ginebra off in order to stand up. Ginebra Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Still in half guard, Ginebra seems content to control. Ginebra thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Takahoshi's head.

The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Yoshi Takahoshi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jay ar Ginebra is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Takahoshi takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
And that's the end of the fight! Jay ar Ginebra showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ginebra, winning every round. Will the judges agree? 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinji Uto! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thomas staying out of range there. Abe Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Uto moves in looking to clinch but Thomas pushes him off. Thomas throws a hook to the side of Uto's head but Uto sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Uto is looking to land body kicks. Uto fails in his attempt to clinch. Uto tries to clinch up but Thomas circles away and keeps his distance. Thomas keeps the fight on the outside. Thomas throws the left hand but Uto avoids the punch easily. Thomas throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Thomas fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Uto, pushing him back against the cage. A battle for position here, against the cage. Thomas gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Uto can do anything to dispel that myth. Thomas trying to control but Uto is working from the bottom. Thomas throws a big right hand that misses. Uto preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Uto really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Thomas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Thomas throws a big right hand that misses. Thomas throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Uto works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Thomas with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Uto is looking to stand up but Thomas isn't so interested in that idea. Thomas trying to control the position from guard on top but Uto is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Uto wants to clinch and Thomas counters with a nice double leg into side control. Uto won't be happy with that. Thomas cracks Uto with a big right hand but Uto just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

The referee takes a look at Uto to see if he's OK. Thomas looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Uto is trying to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Thomas landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Thomas landing a few strikes. Uto is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Thomas throwing strikes but Uto manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. You can see the frustration on Thomas's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Thomas is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Uto is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Uto tries to stand but Thomas is controlling his head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Uto stands up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thomas walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Thomas shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Uto but Uto pushes him off and we're back to square one. Shinji Uto is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Uto misses with a double jab.
Uto pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Uto looks to clinch and Thomas counters by clinching up. Uto's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Thomas lands a really nice looking cross but Uto seems unphased.

Thomas circles away from the clinch attempt and Thomas counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Uto's guard now. Thomas with a nice head shot there. Thomas wants to control from the top but Uto keeps moving. Thomas looking to pass the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Uto working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Thomas. Uto is looking to stand up but Thomas isn't so interested in that idea. Thomas works a leg free and moves into half guard. Uto has hold of Thomas's hands but Thomas slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Uto is staying active underneath Thomas, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Uto blocking the ground and pound attempt from Thomas. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Thomas working over Uto with some ground and pound. Uto looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Uto is trying to stand up here but Thomas is controlling him well. Uto is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Thomas scores with a couple of nice shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Uto keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Uto thows a left - swing and a miss! Thomas misses with a hook. Uto ducked under it nicely. Uto drives through and clinches with Thomas against the cage.

Thomas misses with a looping left. Thomas thows a left - swing and a miss! Thomas tries to score with a low kick but Uto moves his leg out of the way. Uto fails in his attempt to clinch. Shinji Uto is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Thomas scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Uto misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Uto tries to stand but Thomas is controlling from the bottom. Thomas manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Uto manages to get himself to full guard.

I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Thomas connects with a nice short shot to Uto's temple. Abe Thomas is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thomas is keen to just control but Uto is a slippery customer. Thomas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Thomas wants to free his trapped foot but Uto is holding on for dear life with his legs. Thomas stops Uto from getting back to his feet.

That could mean trouble for Uto! Thomas controlling the position easily from mount. Thomas is landing with some decent strikes but Uto is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Shinji Uto has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Thomas raining down shots from the mount! Thomas content just to control the position here.
And that's the end of the fight! Abe Thomas showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Thomas, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Red shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silva but Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one. Silva gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Red counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Silva throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Red doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Red manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Red is pushing down on Silva's leg trying to pass to half guard. Silva is fighting to maintain full guard but Red has managed to sneak the leg through. Silva is looking to improve his position.

Scorpion Red overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Silva is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Red can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Silva has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Red's face.

Gabe Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Silva is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Red is surviving well by controlling Silva's body position as best he can. Red wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Silva is landing with some decent strikes but Red is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Red's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Red defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Silva. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Red wants to try and get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Gabe Silva comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Silva has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab by Tokugawa. Tokugawa looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Tokugawa throws a head kick but Smith II moves out of range.
Smith II throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Tokugawa wants to clinch. Tokugawa moves in looking to clinch but Smith II pushes him off. Tokugawa tries to clinch but Smith II is having none of it. Tokugawa lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. A decent looking cross lands there for Smith II. Tokugawa looks to land a body kick but Smith II moved away. Smith II checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Tokugawa throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Smith II. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tokugawa tries to clinch there but Smith II circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith II thows a left - swing and a miss! Tokugawa tries to clinch up but Smith II circles away and keeps his distance. Tokugawa tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Smith II paws at him with a jab and circles away. Smith II checks a low kick from Tokugawa. Smith II on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Tokugawa. Tokugawa obviously looking to wear him down.
Tokugawa throws a body kick that misses. Smith II avoids the head kick by Tokugawa.
Ieyasu Tokugawa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smith II keeps the fight on the outside. Tokugawa throws a head kick but Smith II moves out of range.
Smith II keeps the fight on the outside. Tokugawa cracks the inside of Smith II's front leg. Tokugawa fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Smith II. Tokugawa fails in his attempt to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tokugawa throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Smith II throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tokugawa. An inside leg kick lands from Tokugawa. Tokugawa lands a big head kick that sends Smith II tumbling to the mat! Tokugawa takes a step backwards and waves Smith II back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Umbabarauma Smith II has been cut. Smith II looks gassed! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tokugawa is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Smith II hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
