Grimm's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Soylent Green. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson throws a hook but Grimm avoids it easily. Grimm works the jab nicely. Grimm lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Grimm looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Grimm falls off balance throwing a combination
and Johnson counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Johnson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Grimm keeps working. Grimm looking for submissions off his back. Grimm wants to improve his position but Johnson is controlling well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johnson trying to pass the guard but Grimm defending well.

Johnson thinks about the counter body kick. Johnson slips a jab from Grimm. Johnson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Johnson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Grimm. Johnson steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Grimm throws a jab but it's blocked by Johnson. And Johnson tries to counter it with a takedown but Grimm pushes his down on his head and steps out. Soylent Grimm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johnson lands with an uppercut that bounces Grimm off the cage and back into range. Grimm misses with a jab to the body
and Johnson counters with a lovely straight right hand! Grimm throws a hook to the side of Johnson's head but Johnson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

enabling Johnson to counter with a crisp jab. Johnson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Grimm's head backwards. Johnson gets caught napping as Grimm dives in and scores a takedown. Johnson manages to retain guard. Grimm working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Johnson managing to control the position. Grimm throws a big elbow that misses. Grimm wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.

Grimm loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Grimm with a flurry of punches that miss. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Johnson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

El Toro attempts a counter takedown but Tamad avoids it well and moves away. El Toro leaves Tamad with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. El Toro ducks under a wild hook from Tamad. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Tamad, right into the meat.
El Toro swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. That kick from Tamad tenderised El Toro's leg. El Toro is trying to keep his angry face on. El Toro looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

El Toro throws a strike but Tamad rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Tamad trying to control but El Toro is working from the bottom. El Toro wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. El Toro is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Tamad slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Tamad trying to control but El Toro is working from the bottom. Tamad looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. El Toro working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tamad doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tamad manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

El Toro avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Tamad. El Toro is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Tamad off and has taken his back! El Toro cracks Tamad with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Tamad from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

El Toro seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. El Toro punishes Tamad with strikes from the back mount. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James misses with a series of wild punches.

James swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. James is looking to clinch. James throws a push kick but Williams slaps the foot to one side. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Williams has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Williams swinging wildly here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez cracks Wonka with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Wonka misses with a looping right. Wonka closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Sanchez misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Sanchez does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Wonka changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Sanchez is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
