The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nielsen moves into range and connects with a jab.

It looks like Jenik Krejza has been cut.
Krejza takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Krejza fails with the takedown.
Nielsen is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Krejza tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nielsen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Krejza somewhat.
Nielsen feints the counter takedown.
Krejza tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Some bone on bone action there as Nielsen checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Nielsen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Nielsen working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Nielsen and the ref steps in to end the fight! Nielsen can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Manotis isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Gracie stacks Manotis on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Gracie!

That was a close round but I would say that Kauri Mahuika will probably get the nod.

A very excited looking Kauri Mahuika rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

Edgar shoots in looking for a takedown. Luff tries to sprawl out of it but Edgar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Luff manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
