Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ivan Putski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Bulldog! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Josh West and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Putski displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bulldog throws out the jab. Putski throws a body shot but no joy. Bulldog swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Putski throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A nice side step and Bulldog releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Putski manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bulldog on his heels. He'll look to pass Bulldog's guard now, I'm sure. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Bulldog is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Putski is aware though and is defending well. Putski works a leg free and moves into half guard. Putski is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bulldog defends it well. Putski is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Putski throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Bulldog has his hands clasped together but Putski breaks the hold and Bulldog is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Putski!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ivan Putski! A very excited looking Ivan Putski made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bob Koff! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Jeff Smith and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Koff fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Koff shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Havilah trying to control but Koff postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Koff slows the pace down in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koff is pressing down on Havilah 's thigh, looking to free his foot. Havilah is holding on for now. Havilah trying to control but Koff postures up.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Koff not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Koff is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Havilah sees it coming and defends easily. Havilah knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Koff on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Koff performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Havilah is looking to improve his position.
Koff is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Koff keeps the fight on the outside. Koff shoots in but Havilah avoids the takedown attempt easily. Koff shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Havilah manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Koff trying to control but Havilah is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Koff content to stall in guard here. Koff is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Koff pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Havilah is keeping the position for now. Koff is stalling in the full guard. Koff throws a big elbow that misses.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Excellent takedown into side control there by Koff. Koff working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bob Koff dominated that round. That's time! Havilah 's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Koff tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Havilah swivels and escapes. Havilah is looking to counter the offense by Koff and move into the clinch. Koff shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Havilah sprawls well. Havilah wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Koff gets slowly back to his feet. A nice inside leg kick there by Koff. That's going to slow Havilah down. Koff closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Havilah did well to prevent Koff getting side control. Koff prevents Havilah from improving his position. Koff perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Koff is looking for a kimura but Havilah is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Koff to get the leverage. Koff looks to land a strike but Havilah avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Koff seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Koff trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Koff shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Havilah defends it nicely. Abiodun Havilah has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Koff. Havilah tries a knee to the head but Koff blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Havilah tries to score a body lock takedown but Koff shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Havilah misses with an elbow over the top. Havilah stalling in the clinch but Koff improves position. Koff tries to pull guard but Havilah won't allow it.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Havilah . Havilah jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Koff walks away with a smile on his face. Havilah gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Koff shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Havilah is trying to defend but Koff finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Koff seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Havilah does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Bob Koff has got the better of the ground game so far. Koff is working for a kimura but Havilah is defending it quite comfortably.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Havilah is not content to let Koff control the position. Koff has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Havilah is trying to maintain the position but Koff is very close to passing his half guard. Koff is working for a kimura but Havilah is defending it quite comfortably.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Koff lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bob Koff showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Havilah shoots in but no luck this time. Koff let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Koff with a lazy takedown attempt letting Havilah counter with a right hand. Koff shoots in for a takedown but Havilah shows good takedown defense. Koff feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Havilah keeping moving, preventing Koff from controlling successfully. Koff is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Havilah is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Havilah has escaped and now he's on top! Koff working a defensive guard here.

Bob Koff is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Koff scores with a takedown into Havilah 's guard. Havilah wants to stand and escape but Koff is having none of it.

Koff's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circling - Gordon throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Trane looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Gordon misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Trane to counter with a crisp jab. Trane on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Trane misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gordon throws out a token jab with nothing on it. As Gordon backs off Trane throws a huge counter combo but Gordon manages to avoid it all. Gordon throws a lazy uppercut
and Trane counters with a right hand to the body. Trane staying out of range there. Trane takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Gordon misses with a leg kick and Trane counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. The fighters circling - Gordon throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Trane lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gordon waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Trane. Gordon showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Trane.
Trane looks to land a combination. Gordon sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

We've been hearing reports that Gordon has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. No joy there for Gordon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

It seemed like Trane was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Trane throws a jab but it's blocked by Gordon. Gordon was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Trane misses the jab. Trane takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

That was a close round but I would say that Darby Gordon will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on John Trane's cut. That's time! Gordon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Gordon lands a jab-cross combination. Gordon throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Gordon throws a hook but Trane avoids it easily. Gordon steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Trane. Gordon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Gordon swings and misses with a shot to the body and Trane connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. A slow jab from Gordon misses its intended target. Gordon scores with a jab to the jaw. Trane scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Darby Gordon is winning the standup battle so far.

Gordon finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Gordon stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Trane. A low kick from Gordon is predictable there and Trane counters with a low kick, right behind Gordon 's knee. Gordon uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Trane. Trane throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Gordon throws a low kick but Trane avoids it. Gordon throws a front kick aimed at Trane's knee but Trane avoids it well. Trane changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Gordon looks to throw a body kick and Gordon takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Nice defenses there by Trane. Trane digs a good body shot into Gordon's ribs. Trane avoids a punch combination nicely.

and Gordon takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Gordon is rocked! Gordon uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Trane. Gordon takes a body punch but keeps moving. Gordon misses with a leg kick enabling Trane to counter with a crisp jab. Oh Gordon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Trane gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Gordon seems to have got his legs back now.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gordon slips a jab from Trane. Gordon swings away with a leg kick that misses. Gordon throws a chopping leg kick but Trane manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Trane scores with a jab. Gordon is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Trane moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rose misses with a wild body shot. MonCoeur throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Rose definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Rose moves into the clinch successfully.
MonCoeur stalling in the clinch but Rose improves position. MonCoeur avoiding damage as Rose throws knees to the body.
Rose tries a knee to the head but MonCoeur blocks it.
Rose using the Thai plumb to throw knees but MonCoeur has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stotch throws a jab when Odair was well out of range. Stotch throws a hook but Odair blocks it. Odair throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Stotch has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Odair is landing a low percentage of strikes. Odair connects with an inside leg kick. Stotch is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Odair. Odair connects with a body shot that sends Stotch's belly button to the back. Stotch throws an overhand right that lands on Odair's shoulder, as Odair tries to avoid the shot. Odair thinks about countering with a head kick. Stotch throws a right hand that misses
and Odair counters by clinching up. A short body shot lands from Odair as the two fighters clinch.
Odair just leaning against Stotch, taking a breather. Stotch is looking to take this one to the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stotch is trying to drag Odair to the mat but Odair just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Odair throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Stotch blocks it with crossed arms.

Stotch moves in looking to clinch but Odair pushes him off. Stotch takes a kick to the side of the head. Odair fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stotch manages to avoid it. Finnick Odair is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Stotch avoids the body shot from Odair.
Odair connects with a right hand. Stotch shakes it off. Stotch throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Odair swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. A bone on bone clash there as Odair blocks the leg kick.
Stotch takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
It looks like Leopold Stotch has been cut. Stotch walks into a left hand. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A head kick misses from Odair. Odair feints and then cracks Stotch's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Stotch down. Stotch is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
No luck for Stotch with that takedown attempt.

and Odair connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Odair lands with a nice body kick. Odair scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Stotch takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Nice defenses there by Odair. Odair lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Stotch waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Odair. Leopold Stotch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Odair slips under a jab. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Odair checks a leg kick. Stotch misses with a left hand and Odair counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Stotch jabbing away but nothing is landing. This has been an exciting period of action! Odair fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Odair lands with a nice body punch. Odair scores with a jab to the body. Stotch throws a lazy uppercut
and Odair counters with a lovely shot to the body. Stotch looks winded! Stotch misses the jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Odair throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Stotch stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Odair is looking to wear down Stotch with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Odair lands a nice looking kick to the body. Stotch takes a step back to recover. Sloppy strikes from Stotch. Those never looked like landing. Odair looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Odair, right into the meat.
Stotch takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Odair dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Good shot there by Odair. Odair with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Odair lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Odair.
Stotch is rocked! Odair is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Stotch with a poor takedown and Odair counters with a straight punch to the midsection. BOOM! Odair lands a beautiful left hook that drops Stotch. Stotch tries to recover but Odair is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Stotch lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Coleman Jr has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Lashley closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Coleman Jr did well to prevent Lashley getting side control.
