Davis finds Garrick's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Garrick flops back against the ropes, eyes gazing into the distance. Davis lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Garrick will be OK.

With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Qfc Champ Ii!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Guido Gloom!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gloom with a poor takedown
and Champ Ii cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Both fighters circling a little - Gloom finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Champ Ii throws a series of punches but Gloom avoids them all with ease.
Champ Ii definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Gloom changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Champ Ii tries to avoid it but Gloom manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Champ Ii to the ground. Champ Ii escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Champ Ii is looking to counter punch.
Champ Ii tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Gloom counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Gloom looking to pass the guard.
Champ Ii wants to sweep but no luck.

Gloom has gone for a leg lock! Champ Ii slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gloom's guard.

Champ Ii knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gloom on the ground.
Gloom is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gloom is on top in guard.

Gloom trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Gloom thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Gloom forces his way into half guard.
Gloom has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Champ Ii tries to lock up and control but Gloom gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Gloom wants to take his opponent's back but Champ Ii doesn't allow it.

Champ Ii is trying to get to the ropes to help him get back to his feet.
Champ Ii on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Champ Ii tries to get out of the position.

Gloom is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Champ Ii is surviving well by controlling Gloom's body position as best he can.

Champ Ii is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Gloom locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Champ Ii is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Guido Gloom!

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Qfc Champ Iii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wilson Bascon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bascon comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Canon Rock kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Champ Iii tries to sprawl but Bascon drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Bascon perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Bascon thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Champ Iii's head.
Bascon thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Bascon passes to full mount!
Champ Iii knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bascon on the ground.
Bascon can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Champ Iii is looking to escape.

Bascon postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Champ Iii looks a forlorn figure.

Bascon avoids the attempt from Champ Iii to control.
Bascon scoring with strikes but Champ Iii is staying in there.
Bascon with shots to the head and body - Champ Iii looks very uncomfortable down there.
Champ Iii is in a horrible position here. Bascon smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Champ Iii looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Bascon lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Bascon lands a couple of good shots and Champ Iii has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
