The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karamyenyan lands with a good body shot. Gangmanstyle blocks a low kick nicely. Gangmanstyle blocks a head kick by Karamyenyan.
Gangmanstyle changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Gangmanstyle closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
It looks like Obban Gangmanstyle has been cut. Karamyenyan scores with a jab to the body. Gangmanstyle drives through with a takedown into Karamyenyan's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Gangmanstyle is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Karamyenyan has his hands on Gangmanstyle's head, controlling the position. and Raly counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Jaysimpson gets a double leg takedown into Raly's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Raly wants to stand up but Jaysimpson is controlling him. Jaysimpson throws a strike but Raly rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Jaysimpson pulls Raly in close to his closed guard and prevents Raly from doing any damage or advancing position. Jaysimpson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Raly manages to get himself to full guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jaysimpson moves in looking to clinch but Raly pushes him off. Jaysimpson takes one to the chin there. Jaysimpson dives in and grabs Raly's left leg, looking for a takedown. Raly pushes down on Jaysimpson's head and hops out. Raly dips to his left and cracks Jaysimpson with an uppercut! Jaysimpson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Raly but Raly pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jaysimpson is breathing heavily. Raly with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Raly ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Raly connects with a leg kick. Jaysimpson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Raly connects with a jab. Jaysimpson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jaysimpson tries to clinch but Raly is having none of it. Jaysimpson fails with the takedown and Raly counters with a straight right hand. Jaysimpson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Dory Raly is winning the standup battle so far. Jaysimpson looks to clinch and Raly finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Jaysimpson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Raly pinned against the cage. Raly gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Raly moves into range and connects with a jab. Raly feints and then cracks Jaysimpson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jaysimpson down. Jaysimpson misses with a right hand and Raly counters with an inside leg kick. Dory Raly is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The fight stays on the outside here - Jaysimpson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jaysimpson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Raly bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jaysimpson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Raly was covering up waiting for the punch and Jaysimpson finishes the takedown easily into guard. Raly wants to get back to his feet but Jaysimpson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Jaysimpson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Raly works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Raly fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Jaysimpson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Raly feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Jaysimpson's calf. A nice inside leg kick there by Raly. That's going to slow Jaysimpson down. We've been told by Raly's head coaches at North Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Jaysimpson avoids a punch combination nicely.

Jaysimpson has Raly pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Raly manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Raly tries to throw a body punch but Jaysimpson avoids it by throwing Raly back against the cage. Raly working some nice short punches in the clinch. Jaysimpson's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Raly gets through Jaysimpson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Raly working hard to break the clinch. Raly lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Jaysimpson or not. Raly breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Raly delivers a nice body kick. Jaysimpson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Jaysimpson has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Raly. Jaysimpson shoots in but Raly avoids the takedown attempt easily. A counter left hand to the body from Raly misses its target. Jaysimpson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Raly.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jaysimpson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Jaysimpson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Jaysimpson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Jaysimpson is trying to control. Raly wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Raly has hold of Jaysimpson's hands but Jaysimpson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Raly looks like he's trying to stand up.

Jaysimpson tries to move into range but Raly moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Raly connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. That's going to take a lot out of Homer Jaysimpson. Raly jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jaysimpson's face. Jaysimpson staggers backwards, shaken. Raly defending well as Jaysimpson loads up on a big left hand. Good leg kick by Raly there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Jaysimpson connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Raly cracks the inside of Jaysimpson's front leg. Jaysimpson wants to clinch and Raly counters with a lovely straight right hand! Jaysimpson shoots in for a takedown but Raly shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Raly is looking to counter punch. Jab, jab by Raly - just one landing. Raly scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Raly scores with a nice body kick.
Jaysimpson looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Jaysimpson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Miller checks a leg kick. Newton with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Miller misses the jab. Newton doesn't manage to clinch there - Miller circles away.
Miller lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Newton is looking to clinch but Miller is avoiding it.
Newton misses with a body kick. Miller scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Newton doesn't seem bothered though. Miller uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Newton.

Sis tries to score a power double leg takedown but Flagg sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sis somewhat. Flagg throws out a counter right but Sis avoids it with no problem. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sis finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Flagg moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Sis throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Sis feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Flagg's calf. Sis drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Flagg keeps working. Sis throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Flagg works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Sis throws a big right hand that misses. Sis wants to pass the guard but Flagg is keeping the position. Sis keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Flagg's head.
