Hawkes kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Not Gonna Die. Head connects with a body shot.

Head looks to land a left hand but Hawkes moved out of range nicely.
Head avoids the head kick by Hawkes.
Hawkes keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Head throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Head ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Head's coach down at Nonstop Intensity was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Head's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGready stalks Babinski and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Babinski's face. Babinski staggers backwards, shaken.
A jab from McGready finds it's way through Babinski's defenses.
McGready connects with a right hand. Babinski shakes it off.
Babinski takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
McGready throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McGready works Babinski's body with a nice hook.

McGready lands a nice hook to Babinski's body. Babinski takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Babinski has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

McGready keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
McGready uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Babinski throws a looping overhand right but McGready ducks down to avoid it.

McGready throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A little feinted left hand from Babinski on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Babinski drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Babinski looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
McGready lands a nice hook to Babinski's body. Babinski takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Damian Babinski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Babinski turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Babinski fails with a takedown attempt.
Babinski takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Babinski shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and McGready cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Damian Babinski. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McGready scores with a jab. Babinski acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

McGready is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Babinski had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Babinski takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Oh Babinski is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Babinski gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! McGready points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Babinski wakes up just in time to hear McGready thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

A less than humble Connor McGready misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.

Beef has an Americana. Smith didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Beef is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Beef hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Victorious closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Victorious is taking a breather. Levchenko says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Levchenko is positioning himself well to prevent Victorious advancing to mount.

Levchenko presses Victorious against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Victorious jumps guard but Levchenko turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Levchenko lands a nice shot to the body.

Victorious looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Levchenko lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Victorious at a distance.
