The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alldren waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Rude.

Main event

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Waitzel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). He arrived on a last minute flight shortly after looking tired and unhappy. Officials decided the fight should still take place, much to the delight of the fans in attendance.

We've been hearing good reports from Mendez's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Waitzel is looking to regain half guard here but Mendez keeps moving and retains side control.

Mendez has an Americana. Waitzel didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Mendez is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Mendez hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
