and Chan counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Chan throws out a leg kick but Crowe moves out of range and Chan only half commits.
Crowe shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Chan manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Chan is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Crowe missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Chan wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Crowe is now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chan is defending against the submission attempts here by Crowe.
Chan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Crowe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Crowe drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Crowe jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Chan is pulling down on Crowe's head. It's preventing any offense from Crowe, at least for the moment.
Crowe drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Chan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Crowe has Chan in his guard.
Crowe escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Chan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Crowe is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Chan is staying active underneath Crowe, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
