Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Soren Bammerthwaite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Weaks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tony Weaks told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tony Weaks! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bammerthwaite waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Weaks. Weaks dives in for a single leg takedown but Bammerthwaite sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. It looked like Bammerthwaite was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Weaks. Bammerthwaite has closed the distance and engaged Weaks in a clinch.
Weaks has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Bammerthwaite clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Bammerthwaite showing good submission defense here.

Bammerthwaite is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Weaks can do to turn this around? Weaks is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Bammerthwaite lands a nice shot to the head. Weaks tries to hold on but Bammerthwaite pushes him away. Bammerthwaite tries to control but Weaks wriggling away. Bammerthwaite unloading with bombs! Bammerthwaite jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Weaks is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Weaks and Bammerthwaite has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Bammerthwaite is landing with some decent strikes but Weaks is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Bammerthwaite looking to finish Weaks with some ground and pound. This is bad for Weaks! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bammerthwaite landing strikes from the mount and Weaks is in trouble! Bammerthwaite controlling from the full mount. Bammerthwaite trying to control but he's not successful this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Weaks throws a body shot but no joy. As Weaks tries to get set, Bammerthwaite tries to push him back and clinch up but Weaks manages to avoid the attempt. Weaks scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Weaks working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Weaks takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Bammerthwaite wants to lay and pray for a moment but Weaks keeps working. Soren Bammerthwaite is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Geyts moves into the clinch. Geyts creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Altudotis's defenses. Altudotis blocks an elbow strike from Geyts.
Geyts misses with an elbow over the top. Altudotis should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Geyts pressing his opponent against the cage. Geyts gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Altudotis.
Altudotis drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Geyts lands a damaging elbow. Altudotis stalling in the clinch but Geyts improves position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Altudotis tries to pull guard but Geyts holds him up against the cage and eventually Altudotis drops back down to his feet.
Bill Geyts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Timo Altudotis. Altudotis goes for a takedown attempt but Geyts pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Geyts throws a shot from downtown. Altudotis moves away and avoids it. Geyts moves into the clinch. Geyts lands an elbow just above Altudotis 's eye. Altudotis takes an elbow to the temple.

Altudotis is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Geyts pulls him back up using the underhooks. Altudotis avoids a wild elbow strike from Geyts. Geyts lands an elbow that stopped Altudotis in his tracks for a moment. Altudotis takes an elbow to the forehead. Altudotis takes an elbow to the temple. Geyts lands an elbow inside. Altudotis successfully pulls guard.
Altudotis controls Geyts momentarily but Geyts frees himself. Altudotis has his foot on Geyts's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Geyts works his way back into a safe position though. Geyts tries to stand but Altudotis is controlling from the bottom. Altudotis manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Geyts manages to get himself to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Altudotis wants to control from the top but Geyts keeps moving. Geyts keeping full guard, as Altudotis tries to pass. Altudotis drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Altudotis as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Geyts screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Altudotis! Nice submission victory there!
