The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rutten misses with a looping right. Crunch! Rutten slams his shin into Rizzi's torso. Rizzi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rutten, pushing him back against the cage. Rizzi managing to block the knees to the body from Rutten.

Drake is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Yes is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. That's four minutes gone in the round. Drake decides to pull guard. Erico Drake overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Drake wriggles free and stands up. Yes closes the distance and pushes Drake back into the cage. Yes breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Yes looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Drake tries to score a power double leg takedown but Yes sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Drake somewhat. Yes tries to counter by closing the distance. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Yes throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Yes Yes has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Yes misses with a body kick.
