The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lakanik tries to move into range but Gautier moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
It looks like John Lakanik has been cut. A punch combination from Gautier misses. Lakanik throws a head kick but Gautier moves out of range.
Gautier tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Lakanik appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Lakanik moves into the clinch. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marshall tries to score with a low kick but Brown moves his leg out of the way. Brown shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. It looked like Marshall was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Brown. Marshall lands a nice looking kick to the body. Brown takes a step back to recover. Marshall takes a swing at Brown's ribcage but misses. Marshall connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Brown's hands. Brown tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Marshall fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Brown manages to avoid it. Brown takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Brown throws a series of punches but Marshall moves out of range. Marshall pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Brown bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Marshall lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Brown backs up against the cage.

Riley Marshall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny Brown. Marshall throws a head kick that Brown semi-blocks.

Anastasio turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Anastasio moves out of range as Voda strikes. Voda checks a low kick from Anastasio. And Voda tries to counter it with a takedown but Anastasio pushes his down on his head and steps out. Voda throws a hook to the side of Anastasio's head but Anastasio sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Voda bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Anastasio tries a head kick but it misses.

Not yet Anastasio, not yet. Voda throwing strikes from guard but Anastasio blocks nicely. Anastasio utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Voda has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Anastasio keeping full guard, as Voda tries to pass. Anastasio pulls Voda in close to his closed guard and prevents Voda from doing any damage or advancing position.

This has been an exciting period of action! Voda stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Anastasio finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
