1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Philip Fry! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James wants to clinch up but Fry keeps it at a distance. The fight stays on the outside here - James looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A looping hook to the body misses from Fry. James does a little dance to reset his feet. Fry blocks a head kick by James.
Fry tries to counter by closing the distance. Fry connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Fry ducks down and throws a hook to the body but James moves away. James tries to clinch but Fry moves out of range. Fry will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fry throws a body punch but James moves out of range. Fry looks to land a combination. James sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. James forces Fry back against the cage and clinches. Fry is trying to break the clinch but James has him pressed against the cage. Fry has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from James. Fry lands a right hook to the body.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clint Ong leaves Hunter with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Hunter fails to land the takedown. Clint Ong rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hunter moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Hunter half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Clint Ong darts in looking for a takedown but Hunter gets double underhooks and turns Clint Ong into the cage. Hunter gets a trip takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Hunter is looking to advance position but Clint Ong won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Clint Ong moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Clint Ong is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hunter is controlling him. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Clint Ong is on top in guard.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Hunter working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Horrible takedown attempt by Hunter or perhaps it was just good defense by Clint Ong, which made it look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Hunter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hunter avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Some wild striking there from Clint Ong.

Clint Ong is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Clint Ong is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Hunter is trying to escape and Clint Ong transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Hunter is forced to tap! Nice work there by Clint Ong! Very nice indeed!

Jin lands a left and a right that send Mara crashing to the mat, dazed. Jin thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Mara is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mara switches off momentarily and Jin cracks him with a monster right hand! Mara topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Jin dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Jin!

Turn tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Boss defends well and Turn ends up having to push Boss into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. No luck with that takedown attempt from Boss. Turn shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Boss's guard.
