The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oliveira fails with an attempt to clinch.
Galvao feints a counter leg kick. Oliveira tries to clinch up but Galvao circles away and keeps his distance. Galvao is looking for the big counter here. Oliveira rushes Galvao and presses him up against the cage. Oliveira lands a body punch in the clinch. Galvao tries to work over Oliveira's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Galvao is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Oliveira is defending well for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Oliveira works on Galvao's body with a couple of short punches. Galvao has Oliveira pressed against the cage, preventing Oliveira from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Galvao prevents Oliveira from breaking the clinch.

Oliveira presses Galvao against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Galvao tries to land knees in the clinch but Oliveira avoids the damage to the body. Galvao keeps control of Oliveira as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Galvao wants to break the clinch but can't.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Andre Galvao showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Oliveira wants to clinch but Galvao slips to the side and Galvao counters with a nice double leg into side control. Oliveira won't be happy with that. Galvao taking a breather here. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dillashaw is trying to defend but Sanchez finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Sanchez works his foot free and advances to mount. Sanchez controlling the position easily from mount. Dillashaw wants to hold on but Sanchez pushes him away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sanchez trying to control but Dillashaw is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dillashaw working to try and regain half guard.
Sanchez trying to control but he's not successful this time. Dillashaw throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Dillashaw is wriggling around trying to escape.
Dillashaw is squirming around, avoiding Sanchez's attempts to control the action. Sanchez stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sanchez. Sanchez fails with a takedown attempt. Dillashaw lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Sanchez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dillashaw tries to avoid it but Sanchez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dillashaw to the ground. Dillashaw escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diego Sanchez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sanchez shoots in and bounces Dillashaw off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Dillashaw can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sanchez controls the pace. Dillashaw keeping moving, preventing Sanchez from controlling successfully. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Dillashaw looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Dillashaw stuffs the takedown attempt from Sanchez. Sanchez gets slowly back to his feet. Dillashaw with a lazy takedown attempt and Sanchez counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Dillashaw looking to control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sanchez prevents Dillashaw from getting back to his feet. Dillashaw controls Sanchez momentarily but Sanchez frees himself. Sanchez gets to his feet - Dillashaw follows without any prompting.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dillashaw leaves Sanchez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Dillashaw tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sanchez swats him away and circles back towards the center. Dillashaw shoots in for a takedown but Sanchez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Dillashaw fails in his attempt to clinch. Dillashaw misses with a body shot
and Sanchez counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Dillashaw! Sanchez decides to take the fight back to the feet. Sanchez has been working on his balance at The Fortress, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Dillashaw. Sanchez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Sanchez is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Dillashaw slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanchez wants to pass the guard but Dillashaw is keeping the position. Sanchez passes into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Dillashaw has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sanchez is working away from the top position though. Sanchez wants to work for an arm triangle but Dillashaw is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Sanchez is trying to control. Dillashaw wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dillashaw tries to get to full guard but Sanchez has control of the leg. Dillashaw is looking to control Sanchez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dillashaw avoid being mounted? Sanchez is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dillashaw is just riding it out for now. Sanchez eventually gives up the hold. Dillashaw moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Sanchez stops Dillashaw from standing up. Dillashaw thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Sanchez trying to control the position from guard on top but Dillashaw is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sanchez fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diego Sanchez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sanchez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dillashaw was covering up waiting for the punch and Sanchez finishes the takedown easily into guard. Dillashaw controls Sanchez momentarily but Sanchez frees himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Diego Sanchez dominated that second round. That's time! Sanchez's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Sanchez jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd.
