0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Drew Carvalho! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carvalho punishes Berisha's body with a nice straight punch. Berisha takes a jab right on the kisser.
Carvalho misses the jab. Berisha half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Carvalho shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Berisha eats them both and turns towards Carvalho to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Berisha drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. A looping hook to the body misses from Carvalho. Berisha does a little dance to reset his feet. Berisha drops down looking for a counter takedown but Carvalho sprawls and moves away. Carvalho looks to score with a jab to the body but Berisha is just out of range. Drew Carvalho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Berisha takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Berisha shoots in for a takedown but Carvalho shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Carvalho looks like he wants to counter punch here. Berisha moves into the clinch. Carvalho dodges an elbow strike from Berisha.
Carvalho prevents a takedown attempt there.
Our sources have told us that Berisha has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Carvalho misses with a short punch on the inside.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carvalho swings wildly with an uppercut but Berisha uses good head movement to avoid it. Carvalho struggles to land a body shot inside as Berisha controls his hands.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Carvalho tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Carvalho lands a nice uppercut. Carvalho lands with a right to the head. Berisha keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Carvalho's efforts to push away. Carvalho throws a head punch that misses. Carvalho lands a body shot in the clinch.

Berisha's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A jab lands there for Carvalho. Carvalho connects with a looping right hand.
Carvalho scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Carvalho scores with a punch to the head. Drew Carvalho is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Carvalho with a body punch. A glancing blow. Carvalho moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Carvalho digs a good body shot into Berisha's ribs.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Berisha jumps guard but Carvalho stands there with Berisha around his waist. Berisha gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Berisha is trying to pull guard but Carvalho has him pressed against the cage. Berisha wants a takedown.
Still in the clinch, Carvalho scores with a nice short uppercut. Carvalho working some nice short punches in the clinch. Carvalho lands with a light punch inside. Carvalho tries to break the clinch but Berisha is controlling the position. Carvalho digs a right hand underneath Berisha's ribcage. Berisha let out a lung full of air as it connected. Carvalho lands with a light punch inside. Carvalho digs a right hand into Berisha's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Berisha's gas tank. Berisha blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Berisha goes for a takedown attempt but Carvalho pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Carvalho lands an overhand right. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Drew Carvalho dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Berisha walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Carvalho clinches with his opponent.

Carvalho wants to sweep but no luck. Berisha sitting in guard here, content to control. Berisha throws a big elbow that misses. Carvalho looking for a sweep. Not yet Carvalho, not yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carvalho is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Berisha is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Carvalho looking to hit a scissor sweep but Berisha is one step ahead there.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Carvalho lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Berisha circles away quickly and effectively. Berisha tries to counter with a takedown but Carvalho is quick to defend against it. Carvalho misses with a jab, cross combination.
Berisha drops his hands momentarily and Carvalho takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Berisha shoots in and bounces Carvalho off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Berisha not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Berisha's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Berisha forces his way into half guard. Berisha not doing much here.
Carvalho is looking to control Berisha's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Carvalho avoid being mounted?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Well, if Berisha is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Carvalho has closed the distance and engaged Berisha in a clinch.

A nice right hand lands inside from Carvalho. Berisha is looking to take this one to the mat. Drew Carvalho seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Carvalho presses Berisha against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Berisha prevents Carvalho from breaking the clinch. Berisha keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Carvalho's efforts to push away. Berisha is working for takedown but Carvalho is calmly controlling the position for now. Drew Carvalho showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Carvalho looks to land a combination but Berisha avoids it well. Berisha attempts a counter takedown but Carvalho avoids it well and moves away. Decent striking displayed by Carvalho there. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Carvalho!
Carvalho connects with a right hand. Berisha shakes it off. Carvalho gets caught napping as Berisha dives in and scores a takedown. Carvalho manages to retain guard. Carvalho throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Berisha is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Berisha is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Carvalho doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Berisha. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Carvalho can do anything to dispel that myth. Berisha performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Berisha is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Carvalho doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Berisha. Valdet Berisha overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Berisha is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Carvalho is just riding it out for now. Berisha eventually gives up the hold. Berisha content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Further stalling from Berisha. Berisha will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Berisha has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Carvalho wants to improve his position but Berisha is controlling well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Berisha moves nicely into side control. Carvalho tries to bench press Berisha off him but Berisha keeps the position. Berisha stands up and beckons Carvalho to his feet. Drew Carvalho is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Carvalho connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Horrible takedown attempt by Berisha or perhaps it was just good defense by Carvalho, which made it look bad. Valdet Berisha has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Drew Carvalho seems to be getting the better of the standup. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Berisha tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Carvalho defends well and Berisha ends up having to push Carvalho into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Valdet Berisha showed his dominance in that final round. I think Carvalho has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James feints and as Chiaro raises his hands in defense, James changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. James looking to pass the guard. Chiaro being controlled here, momentarily. James thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. James drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. James seems to have locked his on tight now - Chiaro screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for James, as he picks up the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Terrell James! A determined Terrell James didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!

Kurlev tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Jambo counters with a nice double leg into guard. Jambo trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jambo controlling from the top position. Jambo stopping the sweep attempt from Kurlev.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jambo controls from within his opponent's guard. Jambo wants to control from the top but Kurlev keeps moving. Kurlev wants to stand up but Jambo is controlling him. Jambo landing with the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kurlev preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kurlev has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad Amsterdam. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Jambo wants to pass the guard but Kurlev is keeping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kurlev being controlled here, momentarily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jambo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kurlev can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kurlev preventing the sweep. Jambo wants to improve his position but instead Kurlev has moved into half guard.
Kurlev wants to take a breather but Jambo is having none of it. Kurlev is pressing down on Jambo's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jambo is holding on for now. Jambo looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The fighters are battling for position here. Jambo manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jambo looking for a sweep. Not yet Jambo, not yet. Jambo working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kurlev. Kurlev being controlled here momentarily. Jambo keeping moving, preventing Kurlev from controlling successfully. Kurlev won't allow Jambo to sweep him here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kurlev working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Kurlev got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jambo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kurlev has managed to get both his arms back between Jambo's legs - danger averted. Jambo has his foot on Kurlev's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kurlev works his way back into a safe position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jambo Jambo dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Kurlev drives through with a takedown into guard. Kurlev advances to half guard. Jambo wants to get back to full guard. Jambo regains full guard. Nicely done. Jambo wants to sweep but no luck. Kurlev has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Jambo to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Kurlev is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Jambo pulls down on the head and he's put Kurlev to sleep! This one is all over!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kalsoevic slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good shot there by Rude. Mayes looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Mayes walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Rude connects with a body shot. Rude works Mayes's body with a nice hook. Rude digs a good hook to Mayes's body.

Rude lands with a nice combination. Mayes backs away looking to recover. Rude dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Rude is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Mayes rather than just go for the knockout. This has been an exciting period of action! Rude weaves into range and cracks Mayes right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Mayes goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Rude is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Lobster drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The Lobster working away. Cannon trying to remain calm as The Lobster controls from the top position. Cannon struggling a bit here. The Lobster is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Cannon is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The Lobster wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cannon keeps working. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cannon is being controlled here. The Lobster is trying to get an arm triangle but Cannon is defending well. Cannon is trying to control The Lobster's posture but The Lobster avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Lobster advances to full mount. Cannon has given up his back.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Left hook, right uppercut from Hardcore. Hardcore misses with an uppercut
and Lannister counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Lannister drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lannister jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Lannister is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hardcore is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hardcore has escaped and now he's on top! Hardcore passes Lannister's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Hardcore thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Lannister actively working from the bottom here. Lannister is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hardcore's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hardcore's back! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hardcore is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Lannister gets his way!
Lannister looking to break Hardcore's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Hardcore remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Lannister will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Hardcore preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Lannister.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lannister working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lannister is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Hardcore defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Hardcore turns into Lannister and is now in his guard.
Hardcore got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lannister has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hardcore has managed to get both his arms back between Lannister's legs - danger averted. Lannister keeping moving, preventing Hardcore from controlling successfully. Lannister working for a triangle but Hardcore defends it easily.
Lannister is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Hardcore has his hands clasped together but Lannister extends and breaks Hardcore's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Lannister.

It looks like Max Durham has been cut. Punski throws a leg kick and Durham counters with a single leg into guard. Punski didn't expect that. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Durham's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Durham throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Durham in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Punski looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Punski is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Durham wants to pass the guard but Punski is keeping the position. Durham content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Durham landing some decent shots from guard. Punski must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Durham has his foot on Punski's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Punski works his way back into a safe position though. Durham manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Punski manages to get himself to full guard.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Durham lands a couple of decent looking shots. Punski has momentary wrist control but Durham slips an elbow through the middle. Punski avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Durham pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Punski is keeping the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Durham throwing strikes but missing. Durham distracts Punski with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Durham wants to pass the guard but Punski is keeping the position. Punski trying to keep a closed guard but Durham is proving a slippery customer.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Durham advances position into side control! Durham tries for a kimura but Punski is defending well. The ground and pound from Durham seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Durham lands an elbow. Punski looks to land a body kick but Durham moved away. Durham half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Drago Punski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A slapping leg kick lands for Punski.
Durham is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Punski can do to turn this around? Punski lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Punski shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Durham attempts a counter takedown but Punski avoids it well and moves away. Punski throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Durham counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Durham. Max Durham overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Punski utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
