6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, George Jackson! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson throws a right and a left that both miss. A left and a right from Jackson both land. Nice combination. Jackson throws a head kick but Gruber moves out of range.
We've been informed that Jackson has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Jackson moves in looking to clinch but Gruber pushes him off. Gruber circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jackson tries to clinch up. Jackson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gruber moves away. Jackson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

He must have been working on that in the gym. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gruber uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jackson. Gruber keeps the fight on the outside. George Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gruber looks to score with a jab to the body but Jackson is just out of range. Some wild striking there from Jackson.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Sherbo throws a body punch but Bartlet moves out of range. Sherbo misses with a series of wild punches.
Sherbo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Sherbo has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Bartlet. A left and a right from Sherbo both land. Nice combination. Sherbo throws a body punch but Bartlet moves out of range. Bartlet throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Bartlet trying to control but Sherbo is working from the bottom. Bartlet is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Josiah Bartlet will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Bartlet throws a looping overhand right but Sherbo ducks down to avoid it. Bartlet throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Sherbo tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bartlet is in Sherbo's guard. Bartlet throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sherbo works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Sherbo trying to keep a closed guard but Bartlet is proving a slippery customer.
Bartlet got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sherbo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bartlet has managed to get both his arms back between Sherbo's legs - danger averted. Bartlet in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Bartlet with a flurry of punches that miss. Josiah Bartlet overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Fedor Obsut seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Obsut takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking.
