Harris tries to close the distance and clinch but Mir swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Armstrong throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Hack throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Armstrong was covering up waiting for the punch and Hack finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hack's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Oh Armstrong is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Hack gets to his feet - Armstrong follows without any prompting.

Armstrong is pressed against the cage. Hack pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Armstrong! Two more big strikes from Hack and Armstrong crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lars Hagen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shimazu has closed the distance and engaged Mangold in a clinch.
Shimazu tries to land knees in the clinch but Mangold avoids the damage to the body.

Mangold looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Mangold jumps guard but Shimazu stands there with Mangold around his waist. Mangold gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

It looks like Danny Mangold has been cut.
